Panasonic manufactures some of the finest 3D TVs today sporting screen sizes from 32" to 65" and Full HD 1080p resolution. At the sub 42" screen size Panasonic offer some pretty great 3D LED TV models, while the 3D TVs above 55" are some of the best 3D plasma TVs available today.
Coming to the 3D aspect of the TV, it's worthwhile to know that there are two types of technology deployed to view 3D content on a television. This is basically Active 3D and Passive 3D. You can get into the details of each on our best 3D TVs page.
Panasonic for several years were in unison with Samsung and other Active 3D manufacturers and strictly held to the production of only active 3D televisions with Active shutter glasses. So their traditional 3D TVs give you the pleasure of watching the third dimension in its full intended resolution. However, Panasonic seem now to have reconsidered their stand and have come out with a full blown range of Passive 3D TVs with screen sizes ranging from 32" to 55" and polarized 3D glasses included. These TVs have the advantage of being cheaper by comparison and are claimed to be flicker-free. Nevertheless, for their TVs with above 55" displays, its only active 3D.
