The best 3D projectors of 2013 are a great option for gamers who desire the feel of the game, and 3D projectors come in two types: the Full HD 3D and PC 3D Ready both supporting 2D as well as 3D, with not much variation in performance. The price too of 3D projectors is just slightly higher than 2D due to the use of different emitters and glasses.
Full HD 3D projectors are by far the better of the two and are capable of receiving any of 3D formats that the HDMI 1.4 3D specification carries and can project 1080p 3D signals from Blu-ray players or set-top boxes.
PC 3D Ready projectors on the other hand, are not compatible with HDMI 1.4 3D signals and cannot be used to project images from Blu-ray players or set-top boxes. They are only capable of accepting 120Hz frame sequential 3D with a maximum resolution of 1280X720p, from a PC that implements the NVIDIA 3D Vision.
That being said, 3D projectors often display less bright images in 3D mode and in general are not as suitable for movies as they are for gaming.
Even the highest rated 3D projectors are not really an extravagant buy, but a great investment since movie makers and video game manufacturers alike are bringing out more and more 3D content as we speak. Our listing of the leading 3D projectors includes a bunch of the best DLP and LCD 3D models along with their price options, specs and individual reviews.
