Best DLP Projector of 2013

4 March 2013 by

The DLP brand of projector technology, developed and owned by Texas Instruments uses a micromirror device and spinning colour wheels to generate images.

DLP technology typically produces images with much richer blacks, and increased contrast in colours variations, thereby offering much better picture clarity. The video quality is also far smoother, with much less visible pixelation than their LCD counterparts.

DLP technology is generally used in multi-purpose projectors requiring high contrast ratios of the order of 2000:1, as LCD Projectors typically offer a contrast ratio of 400:1.
