The best flat panel tvs under $1200 are some of the better and pricier LCD TV alternatives (around 40 inch screen size) on offer by brands such as Samsung. Samsung tends to be on the pricier side, and you can typically have almost similar quality LCD hdtvs by cheaper brands like Toshiba and Viewsonic at the sub-$1000 price point.
Sub-$1200 is also a great price point to start of with some entry level LED TVs though if you go slightly higher to around $1500 you can lay your hands on some of the best LED TVs in the market today.
