This list of the best projectors with HD, is narrowed down to the top rated projectors which have a resolution of 1080i (interlaced scanning) or 1080p(progressive scanning).
Interlaced scanning means the TV displays alternate rows of pixels at a time, first the odd and then the even rows, so at any given time you only see half the resolution. Progressive scan on the other hand displays a whole frame, or in other words, all the rows are displayed simultaneously. HDTVs today are all 1080p which is what we recommend for your projector too. However, the amount of video content available in 1080p is still quite sparse and most television channels use 720p or 1080i.
