For movie buffs one of the most important elements in a projector is its resolution and since world cinema is rapidly switching over to full HD, there'll be more and more movies made in 1080p.
1080p stands for progressive scanning while 1080i stands for interlaced scanning. We recommend 1080p models since progressive scanning displays all the pixel rows simultaneously, giving a much sharper and better picture; as opposed to interlaced which only displays alternated pixel rows at a time. However, currently the bulk of the HD movies are either 720p or 1080i.
