  • The Sonos Playbar is cleverly designed and does great fake surround, but it's better suited to current Sonos customers than newcomers.

  • The Sonos Playbar is a lounge-unifying device that will let you dump your remote controls and your old hi-fi in the bin. Once you've set it up, itâÂ? Â? ll also let you control both your TV and your audio system with your phone. For everything but the most crashing of movie soundtracks the Sonos Playbar sounds great too, with excellent clarity and an expansive soundstage.

  • It's not cheap, and there's a part of us that just wanted it to have three or more HDMI inputs and a remote control in the box, but while we're contractually obliged to return our review sample back to Sonos, there's nothing that says we have to do it with good grace. Want.

If we had to describe the Klipsch HD Theater 600 is a few words, we'd call it a solid offering. While the 33Hz low end rating seems a bit optimistic to us, the price tag certainly is right. At $600 for a full 5.1 system, the Klipsch HD Theater 600 is sure to introduce a lot of people to the Klipsch brand and, more importantly, the Klipsch sound. And once they get a taste for it, they'll be more likely to stick with it.

  • With the HD Theater 600, Klipsch delivers an unobtrusive and stylish home theater speaker system at a good price, but it's not the best you can do.

  • The Onkyo HT-S8400 is a 7.1 home theater system. It is compatible with 3D video via its four HDMI inputs. The system provides 1030W over the 7 satellite speakers as well as the 120W subwoofer. The HT-S8400 is capable of processing a wide range of audio codecs including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby DD Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

  • While this is a good product, it comes off as just another face in the crowd.

  • The Onkyo HT-S7400 is a 5.1 home theater system. The system consist five satellite speakers, a 120W subwoofer, and a receiver. The receiver can be connected to your home network and also to a variety of sources including 3D Blu-Ray players and Apple iPod/iPhone via a dock which is included with the system.
