  • The HP Pavilion x360 13t offers very good performance for the price and impressive audio, in a highly flexible, 13.3-inch design.

  • The HP Spectre x360 delivers a high-end, flexible Windows laptop design at a mainstream price with a battery that runs all day.

  • We like the HP’s divisive red design, and its hinged mechanism and build quality are both good, but this budget system is too slow to rival the superior

  • - The lid is quite flimsy and doesn't offer much in terms of protection for the display.
    - The screen is highly glossy so reflections are a real nuisance.
    - The trackpad is very roomy and you get two physical buttons for left and right mouse clicks.
    - The chiclet-styled keys have good spacing although we're not a big fan of HP's design of the arrow cluster as the keys are too close together. .

  • The HP Omen 15 is a surprisingly potent gaming machine with features you might not expect from a mainstream PC manufacturer including customizable backlighting and revved-up storage.

  • HP shakes up the world of gaming laptops with unique-looking and highly portable Omen. It offers very capable performance in PC games, despite being stuck with a last-gen graphics card.

  • The Omen attracts attention with its smart design and a build that’s slimmer and thinner than rivals. With reasonable gaming power and a well-balanced specification elsewhere, it’s a system where style is as important as substance. However, more powerful and well-rounded laptops are available for less money.

  • The HP Stream 11 is a $200 Windows laptop that's built to compete with Chromebooks on features and price. It does pretty well on its own, but Microsoft sweetens the deal with free OneDrive storage and Office 365 Personal for a year.

  • There's a war going on between Microsoft and Google, and because of that shoppers will ultimately win. But is the HP Stream 11 a winner? In many ways, yes. This ultraportable is more versatile than a Chromebook, and I like the comfortable keyboard and loud speakers. And while the playful design isn't for everyone, it will definitely stand out in a crowd.

  • At $200, the Stream 11 is a good deal, especially compared to pricier Chromebooks, but beware that it comes with many of the same trade-offs as other budget laptops, including a low-quality display and slow boot-up time.

  • The rugged HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 ultrabook is equipped with a touch screen and trades physical connectivity for a slim and portable chassis. It's a good choice for a business that needs to buy new PCs for an entire staff.

  • HP's business-oriented 14in Ultrabook offers a thin and light solution for enterprises, while maintaining security and management features. It's well built, performs swiftly for the most part, but its cost is high.

  • HP's 14-inch EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 combines ultrabook elegance with MIL-STD 810G robustness. It has a great screen and performs well, but lacks integrated VGA and Ethernet ports. You'll pay a premium price too.
