Lenovo is a Chinese computer hardware and electronics multinational and the world’s second largest PC manufacturers, with headquarters in Beijing, Singapore and North Carolina.

Lenovo excels in ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops. ThinkPads are dedicated business laptops, and are currently the only laptops certified for international space station use. Though Initially IBM products, ThinkPads came under the Lenovo market in 2005, when Lenovo took over IBM’s personal computer division and began self-manufacturing and selling them. In 2008 Lenovo devised their very own line of IdeaPads designed specifically for consumer use.

With its slim, lightweight chassis, however, the X1 Carbon Touch is a great choice if you travel for work.

Not a good value

The configuration options are very good for its sub-$1,000 price; it gets more than 8 hours of battery life; and has excellent performance for everyday, mainstream use.

Most modern laptops are far better.

With improved, category-leading performance and a solid convertible design, the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 12 is an easy pick as our top pick for convertible-hybrid ultraportable for business.
