With improving technology all notebooks do not make use of modems, but the V.92 is the most common inbuilt modem in laptops. Present day notebooks come with mobile broadband modems which can either be embedded inside the notebook or fixed separately.

    - Keyboard The keyboard is definitely suitable for people who type a lot, provided you can see out over the key-base which gives way noticeably .

  • Rating Unavailable

    - The keyboard is comfortable to type on, with excellent support to resist any flexing.

  • - HP’s effort fell flat, simply offering the wrong mix of performance and battery life.
    - Vertical viewing is much more limited, and tipping the screen slightly forward makes the picture look washed out much more readily than tipping it slightly back.
    - The brushed aluminum casing is no-nonsense sleek.

  • The bottom line: The design is revolutionary, but Apple's MacBook Air will appeal to a smaller, more specialized audience than the standard MacBook, thanks to a stripped-down set of connections and features.

  • The Apple MacBook Air (11-inch) is the lightest, smallest laptop in Apple's inventory, but you'll have to give up certain luxuries and pay a hefty price for it.

  • - More important, this machine never keeps you waiting, thanks to the way it uses flash memory.

    - As is common with glossy screens, colors and contrast are quite good and both images and video "pop" off the screen.
    - Speaker performance is good despite the dime-sized stereo speakers located above the keyboard.
    - The keyboard backlighting is nice and even and helps you see what you're typing in a dark classroom.

  • - A little hefty for its size • Battery runs short due to powerful hardware.

  • - It’s easily small enough to take to work with you each day, yet provides outstanding office and multimedia performance.

  • - The touchpad has built-in multitouch gestures that are useful when scrolling and panning through Web pages.
    - Battery life is phenomenal.

    - Our prototype looked very high-end, elegant and timeless  with the black finish and the black display lid of brushed aluminum .
    - The Intel GMA 4500M HD chip set gives a good performance in the office and the Nvidia GeForce G 210M graphic with a core rate of 625 MHz is helpful in multimedia routine.

  • - Keyboard and Touchpad The UL80Vt’s island style keyboard is spacious, has its keys in all the proper positions, and doesn’t flex at all.
    - Sound quality from the front-mounted speakers was quite good and loud, both when watching videos and listening to music.

  • - The screen gets adequately bright for working outdoors, text and graphics are sharply rendered, and color is very good.
    - The keyboard is extremely comfortable to use with good response and no flex while typing.

    - The highest volume settings are loud enough to fill an office with sound for a presentation, but the audio sounds distorted at the highest volumes.
    - The touchpad is very responsive to my touch with a scroll zone on the right side that works exactly as it should.
    - Overall the keyboard layout is extremely nice for a budget 13-inch laptop.

  • - The machine is nice and light, but I was surprised when I tested the battery and found out that it run for only three hours with all the wireless communications and blue tooth switched off and no applications are running.
    - Even the ProBook 5310m's multimedia performance was strong.
    - The machine's LED-backlit 13.3-inch screen looks terrific, with plenty of brightness and rich color reproduction.
