Even though CMOS has advanced considerably, the camcorders with the best optical capability are the CCD sensor ones. The best CCD sensor based camcorders combine great light sensitivity with good pixel counts. The best optics camcorder selection also limits to the camcorders which have atleast a 15x optical zoom.
