Additionally,1080i stands for interlaced scanning while 1080p is progressive scanning. Interlaced scanning means the TV displays alternate rows of pixels at a time, first the odd and then the even rows, so at any given time you only see half the resolution. Progressive scan on the other hand displays a whole frame, or in other words, all the rows are displayed simultaneously. HDTVs today are all 1080p which is what we recommend for your projector too.
