Palm a formerly independent smartphone manufacturing company was headquartered in California and marketed Pre and Pixi, Treo and Centro phones; and the company was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2010.
Palm introduced a new operating system called webOS to replace the earlier Garnet, which was implemented in all their smartphones and tablets. Despite the fact that there are no new Palm cellphones being manufactured, Plams’ earlier product range is now marketed and sold by Gram, HP’s subsidiary created in August 2012 solely focusing on the sale of remaining products by Palm.
