  • The Brother MFC-J6920 inkjet MFP delivers fast speed and excellent paper handling for micro and small offices that need to print and scan at up to tabloid size (11 by 17 inches).

  • Brother's MFC-J6920 is a good, modern inkjet all-in-one, with all the facilities you would expect in a proper A3 machine: full print, scan and copy, single and double-sided on the larger paper. More importantly, it's the best printer of its type, making it easy to recommend.

  • The Canon Pixma MG7120 BK Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One Printer offers high-quality photo printing and features suitable for typical home use.

  • The Canon Pixma MG7120 has gorgeous output quality and design. For a printer at this price point, however, we expected inks to be a little cheaper than they are.

  • The Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One comes up short on paper capacity, but it delivers all the right features for the dual role of home and home office MFP.

  • I was disappointed by the cheap feel of the output tray and the pricey bent of the inks on the Epson Expression XP-810. It's otherwise one of the best consumer printers you could buy, perhaps overshadowed only by its fancier (and higher-priced) cousin, the Epson Expression XP-850 Small-in-One Printer. As noted before, the HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One has cheaper inks, though its photo quality isn't quite as good.

  • With Epson offering cartridge prices starting at $9.60, the XP-810's value is enhanced by its stellar print quality on photo stock, assuming that some of the execution issues aren't a problem. If you don't plan on moving your printer that often and are looking for something with a small footprint, the Epson XP-810 is a reasonable choice.

  • The HP Officejet Pro X576dw MFP matches or beats more expensive lasers on nearly every key aspect, from speed to MFP features to running cost. The bonus: Edge-to-edge printing.

  • The Officejet Pro X576dw delivers a generous serving of features exclusive to HP, including a new Pagewide printhead that grants it the speed benefits of a laser printer while maintaining the color print quality of an inkjet, making it worthwhile for offices shopping for a professional imaging solution.

  • The HP Officejet Pro X576dw is an impressive device. I mean what else can you say when the printer you're reviewing has been certified by Guinness World Records as the world's fastest desktop printer? But beyond the flashy stats, you'll also find plenty of substance: great print quality in text documents, color prints and even photo prints as well as reliable business-class scan, copy and fax features.

  • Meant as a personal MFP, the Dell B1165nfw Mono Laser Multifunction Printer is capable enough for a micro office with light-duty print needs.

  • As long as you don't mind not being able to print from a USB flash key, the Dell B1165nfw's healthy array of extra features and quick outbound print cycle make it worthwhile for small offices with wireless access.

  • Although we are a bit concerned with the running costs of this machine, Dell's B1164nfw is a versatile MFP for small and home office, covering all the business essentials and producing good quality print, reasonably quickly. Shame there's no cover for its paper tray, though, which may mean you need to close it up between print jobs.
