  • The Toshiba 40E220U is a value-for-money television offering decent contrast and bright, vivid colors.

  • When we reviewed Toshiba's flagship, the L7200U, we found a cheaply priced HDTV that was of very high quality and usability. The E220U continues that tradition. It may be a "dumb," non-3D version of Toshiba's fancier models, but the quality we saw on their flagship has trickled down and informed its core performance. We'd say a 40-inch TV of this caliber, for an MSRP of $499, is a pretty solid deal.

  • The Toshiba 46SL412U is a high-definition 1080p LED television. The 46 inch sceen size is an upgrade from the Toshiba 40SL412U, and a new ClearFrame 120Hz mode is enabled that refreshes the screen quickly for sharp fast-moving subjects, rendering sports and action sequences without any blur.

  • The Toshiba SL412U Series delivers decent image quality on a large, energy-efficient, LED-backlit LCD screen at a reasonable price. It's a good choice--if you can live without connected-TV features, 3D support, good audio, and other amenities.

  • For people who aren't interested in a connected TV, or who aren't fussy about audio quality (or a great remote), the Toshiba 55SL412U delivers decent image quality on a roomy, ecofriendly screen and it's certainly easier on the wallet than more-polished, full-featured competitors are.

  • The Toshiba 42SL417U is a 42" widescreen LED television that displays in full 1080p high definition and is equipped with built-in Wi-Fi. This is similar to the Toshiba 46SL417U and Toshiba 55SL417U, but uses a smaller 42 inch display.

  • The Toshiba SL417U Series offers decent image quality, several top-tier Web features, and lots of user controls, but suffers from mediocre audio and some unfortunate design decisions--and it's not supercheap.

  • Overall, the Toshiba 46SL417U 46-inch HDTV shapes up as a decent midrange set, with a midrange price, good (but not great) image quality, and satisfactory (but not outstanding) Web and media-player features. It's the kind of HDTV you may want to snap up if you encounter a good sale; otherwise, you'll want to look closely at competitors that might offer superior image quality, better design, or more features at a similar price.

  • The Toshiba WX800 is a high-end 46" LED/LCD television equipped with full 3D resolution technology designed to create a more immersive home cinema experience. By using 3D viewing devices (glasses) users can experience full 3D content on home televisions that include 3D resolution support.

The 240Hz LED edge-lit Toshiba 55WX800U's picture quality when displaying . And its NetTV menu of Internet streaming partners is top notch. If only its 3D performance was as compelling.

  • Although the 46WX800U is not perfect, and not everyone is excited about 3D, it does provide good core video performance for high definition sources that will please most consumers. In addition, besides 3D, the NetTV and Media player options perform very well and really add to its value as a centerpiece for a home theater system. If you are looking for a 3D-TV, put this set on your list.

  • - Plenty of connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input.

    - The picture looks more natural, no longer veering excessively green.
    - Its picture quality is very good with minimal adjustment and can look excellent if you take the time--or hire a professional--to perform an advanced setup.
