Has everything you need (except monitor) to get up and running quickly
BEING A PREVIOUS GATEWAY CUSTOMER, THIS WAS AN EASY CHOICE FOR ME. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED (EXCEPT MONITOR) TO GET UP AND RUNNING QUICKLY. IT HAS A HUGE HARD DRIVE AND 6GB OF MEMORY WHICH IS PLENTY FOR THE AVERAGE USER. A BEAUTIFUL CASE PLUS A KEYBORD AND MOUSE AND PLENTY OF USB PORTS PLUS 2 USB 3.0 WHICH SPEEDS UP YOUR UPLOADS OR DOWNLOADS. FOR THE PRICE, IT WOULD BE A WISE CHOICE FOR A COMPUTER.
Best in class small foot print PC
I have purchased many small foot print PC's especially from HP (aka slimline models). I even contacted HP for a small footprint quad core PC. The price difference between the HP and Gateway SX model was night and day different. This SX Gateway has such a small foot print and lot's of power with the quad core and 7200 rpm 1 TB drive. Keep in mind exactly what this PC is which is a small foot print PC with all the bells and whistles that a office or home office user will need.
Range of connectivity options
The Gateway SX2865-UR11P is a simple, no-frills all-in-one desktop which comes equipped with an Intel Pentium 2.70GHz Dual-Core Processor G630, 4GB of installed DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, a range of connectivity options and more.
Saying that this desktop is no-frills may put some people off; however, this is a good thing, as it means that it plays to its strengths.
Great for me so far
I got this computer 1.5 months ago and it has been running great. I did replace the power supply with an OCS 600W so I could add an AMD 6870 graphics card and an Intel 120GB SSD as my boot drive. It is fast and now good for gaming. The added graphics card fits fine even though it is really long, the case allows for one long PCIe card. The SSD fit fine in an extra internal HDD space and connected easily to one of the extra SATA3 ports on the MoBo.
Faster Quad Core Intel Processor
Gateway's DX4870-UR20P is a system of trade offs. On the one hand, it offers some of the best overall general performance thanks to the quad core Core i5 processor. In order to have this processor though, the memory and hard drive space is much less than a typical desktop in the $500 price range. The company does at least allow for easy internal upgrades of both the memory and hard drive but these of course would add to the overall cost of the system.
Great little PC for the price
Using this PC as a media center in my living room. Connected it to my TV via HDMI. Works great and is really quiet. Not sure I would pick this as my gaming PC! Was surprised at how small it was, about half the size of a regular tower. Not much room inside for upgrades. Works flawlessly on my wireless network using a Netgear USB wireless adapter. Perfect for what I needed.
Very Responsive Multitouch Display
Those looking for an extremely affordable all-in-one system with a touchscreen to use with Windows 8 will be hard pressed to find a lower cost option than the Gateway One ZX6980-UR308. While it is extremely affordable and the touchscreen works very well, it does sacrifice performance in particular to achieve its low price tag. Those who can afford just a hundred dollars more will notice some significant performance gains from competing all-in-ones.
Attractive and very functional
Great price for a great computer, this is an excellent machine fast, beautiful display. It's attractive and very functional. Screen is big and clear and bright. So, this Gateway One ZX6980-UR328 is low priced, but high powered, at least for what I need it to do. I did comparison shopping both online and at places like Best Buy, Office Max, and Office Depot before choosing and buying this desktop. It was at a great price!
