The easy-to-use Samsung NX3000 is designed for users new to mirrorless cameras. Although it doesn’t make us jump and shout, we can’t argue with its price.
Beautiful picture quality and superb battery life
'world’s smallest, lightest interchangeable lens camera'
'extremely capable camera'
'Despite rife competition, this Sony still manages to offer ample appeal despite a couple of bumps in the road along the way.'
Crammed in between the Alpha 5000 and 6000
'No mic input.'
'The RAW files were also excellent, with usable images throughout the entire range of ISO 200-6400.'
'Picture quality up to ISO 3200.'
'Touchscreen LCD would be nice to have in this type of camera.'
'All in all, though, the Samsung NX500 is a fun, great little camera. '
'The Samsung NX500 is a promising camera with excellent imaging capabilities, but a few things hold it back from getting top marks. '
'With the exception of a viewfinder, the NX500 offers a pretty enticing collection of features.'
'Ultimately the K-S1 is a very capable camera that, ironically, is let down by some of the very aspects intended to make it stand out. '
'The K-S1 is also noticeably heavier, which exacerbates my difficulties holding it comfortably, but if you have small hands, you may actually prefer the size of the K-S1.'
'Images become distinctly scrappy at the highest ISOs.'
'Not very user-friendly.'
'Like just about every model in the FujiFilm CSC line-up, the FujiFilm X-T10 is a great camera. '
'Like almost every other new camera, the X-T10 features built-in Wi-Fi. '
'logical enough rear control layout'
'Ricoh are well known for delivering responsive cameras, and the GR II certainly continues in that tradition. '
'The Ricoh is specialised, then, but it does what it does exceptionally well.'
'unique and ambitious camera'
'The lightweight, compact Ricoh GR II is well designed, and its APS-C sensor allows for shallower depth-of-field than do the smaller sensors in competitors.'
'Its JPG output is excellent at lower ISOs, so you may be able to skip Raw processing, but if you do prefer to work with uncompressed images, you're going to have to deal with a Raw workflow that's hobbled by very clunky software.'
'fast maximum aperture'
Its many faults are part of its charm
Learn to take your time
'The maximum aperture of F/2.8 and the large APS-C sensor makes it easy to blur the background and importantly makes the camera more versatile in low-light.'
'Without a doubt, despite the high-res spec, it is one of the worst displays we’ve encountered in several years. '
'Memory card slot on the side.'
