Other than being an outstanding point and shoot camera with a ton of great features and beautiful stunning pictures, the construction quality of the possible lens malfunction, front LCD inaccuracy, and touchscreen in-sensitivity makes my rating not a full five stars. BUT! The picture quality and its great user friendliness definitely makes up for it and it being a dual screen LCD camera makes it great, innovative, and fun.
fun camera, wonderful pics, an EXCELLENT point and shoot... love it. just bought a second!
LOVE this camera. it is small, versatile, very easy to use, innovative (the front lcd screen which shows you the live shot, just like the back screen, is a brilliant idea for self portraits and group shots.... just brilliant), and takes simply EXCELLENT amazingly crisp and sharp pictures. my other point and shoot was a sony with a carl zeiss lens
Budget friendly price tag
Samsung seems to have the Dual View market cornered. These unique models offer a great deal of appeal with features that fit the needs of a wide variety of users; especially for the younger masses. Overall, we enjoyed using the ST700. This model offers competitive image quality and shooting performance, loads of fun exposure modes and filters, along with a competitive price tag of $279 USD or less.
Good image quality
The Samsung ST700 is a very compact digital camera with a one-of-a-kind dual display design. The camera is simple, in terms of physical appearance and operation, and geared at folks who want an easy to use cameraâ? ¦ that also happens to make self-portraits especially easy to compose. The camera doesnâ?? t have any manual controls, which is expected for a camera of this size and price. However, there are plenty of scene modes and shooting effects.
With all that's said and done, how would we rate the ST700? For starters, we liked the user-friendly UI, and Samsung has included quite a few photo filters for unique shots. Together, they create a lighthearted experience for the casual - snap shooter. The front LCD of course is handy for those who wish to take shots of themselves quickly or with friends. What's more, you don't need to wait for a passerby or think twice to ask a passerby to take the shot for you.
Solid results consistently
The front-facing LCD found on the Samsung PL120 indicatesâ?? at least to usâ?? that this is a camera intended for the most casual of casual users, whose most common framing is the cheek-to-cheek B.F.F. self-portrait, bound for Facebook and tagging and commenting and maybe even some scrapbooking at the end of the semester. Yet the performance is nothing to sneeze at. While the PL120 didnâ?? t shock us with amazing score spikes, this Samsung posted solid results consistently.
It works brilliantly for self portraits
The Samsung PL120 is a camera that can be taken out and about and if it gets damaged then because of the reasonable price it doesn't matter as much. The simple design, while not breaking any new ground, won't make you ashamed to take it out in a crowd. If you're one of these people then you need to take a look at the Samsung PL120.
Good overall build quality
The Samsung PL120 is a camera that can be used by all the family from novice younger users, networking teenagers and proud parents to technophobic grandparents alike. The only problem we can foresee is with people who have larger hands. They probably won't get on with the tiny format or cluttered back. There are a lot of pros to outweigh the cons though.
Good colour reproduction
The Samsung PL120 is ultra compact, features two screens, and offers very good value for money, however, even when scoring highly for value for money, it's simply not enough to bring the overall rating higher than 3/5, as the rest of the camera is mostly average. Sure it's a nice little camera, and looks good, but the image quality disappoints.
Records HD video
The DualView PL120 is the entry level offering in Samsung's 2011 line of digital cameras which feature an extra LCD display on the front of the camera for taking self portraits. Like the next model in this release called the PL170, the front screen is 1.5" whereas the top of the line ST700 has a 1.8" front screen.
Nice build quality
The Samsung ST30 is most suited to families looking for a budget digital compact camera that is easily pocketed for security and convenience without compromising too much on quality. It's got a decent build so if one of the kids gets hold of it and drops it, there's more chance of the camera withstanding the impact. If you're looking for a budget digital compact camera that produces good pictures then this a camera worth looking at.
Good value for money
The Samsung ST30 may not be as feature packed as other cameras, or may not offer as good handling as more expensive cameras, however, the Samsung ST30 (like the Kodak Easyshare Mini) has a number of key qualities that make it appealing for these reasons: It's REALLY small, it's got a really low price, and it looks really cute.
The ST30 provides great value by bringing together an attractive design with a set of market-leading features, providing great images on the move. The ultra compact model really packs a punch, with Smart Auto focus, an internal battery charging system, a 28mm lens and 3x power optical zoom, all contained within the cameraâ?? s fun-sized body.
nice clean image
Samsung has created yet another appealing ultra-compact digital camera that sports their popular Dual View functionality. This unit receives several upgrades over past models, many of which is shares with the ST100. However, the ST600 seems to produce sharper images, and offers a great value for a 14-megapixel digicam.
Colour reproduction was very lively, rich and vivid.
The Samsung ST600 comes with many smart features like dual-display, gesture-UI and one touch shooting. As a compact camera, there are many likeable features for the casual shooter and it shoots good colours and good quality images outdoors. Our main disappointments are its average low light performance, lack of manual controls, average HD-video and the rather high price tag.
Featuring two LCD screens, one on the front and one on the back, the ST600 will appeal to social photographers and those who like quirky features. reasonably clear and vibrant images
The Samsung ST600 is a two-screen digital camera that's perfect for self-portraits. Its overall image quality is more than adequate for posting on social media sites and even for printing at relatively large sizes, but it does suffer from some imperfections. We're not fans of the camera's touchscreen and its usability could be better. Overall it's not a bad little compact camera at all.
We all enjoyed using the ST100. The kids and wives especially like the Dual View features of this one, and it offers good image quality and acceptable performance to boot. While our cons list may look like there were several problems with the camera, each was only a minor "negative check mark".
Auto everything camera
This is an auto everything camera, but priced dangerously close to the sort of £300 models on which we'd expect to find enthusiast-level photographic control.
But in terms of image quality the ST100 has room for improvement. Camera shake and image blur can be quite pronounced if conditions are less than ideal, there's tell tale pixel fringing visible between areas of high contrast and anyone who chances their arm by shooting in low light without flash is advised both to use a tripod...
The Samsung NV4's best feature is its array of filters and customization options, so you can use it as a simple point-and-shoot but still get creative results (assuming you're creative). It lacks optical image-stabilization, but its advanced form of digital stabilization isn't a complete write-off. Image quality in fair conditions was quite good, at least when it comes to portrait photography.
