Extremely small camera, Metal body, Plenty of built-in memory
The Nikon Coolpix S02 is designed to be used when out with friends etc. It's small enough to carry around in your pocket or bag and you'd barely even know it was there. Smart phone users aren't likely to see much of an appeal though as you can't upload to the web straight away - if there was built-in Wi-Fi then it would be a fantastic camera for those who want to upload their pictures onto Facebook before they get home. The camera is made of metal, looks stylish and comes in a number of colours.
Solid results consistently
The front-facing LCD found on the Samsung PL120 indicatesâ?? at least to usâ?? that this is a camera intended for the most casual of casual users, whose most common framing is the cheek-to-cheek B.F.F. self-portrait, bound for Facebook and tagging and commenting and maybe even some scrapbooking at the end of the semester. Yet the performance is nothing to sneeze at. While the PL120 didnâ?? t shock us with amazing score spikes, this Samsung posted solid results consistently.
It works brilliantly for self portraits
The Samsung PL120 is a camera that can be taken out and about and if it gets damaged then because of the reasonable price it doesn't matter as much. The simple design, while not breaking any new ground, won't make you ashamed to take it out in a crowd. If you're one of these people then you need to take a look at the Samsung PL120.
Good overall build quality
The Samsung PL120 is a camera that can be used by all the family from novice younger users, networking teenagers and proud parents to technophobic grandparents alike. The only problem we can foresee is with people who have larger hands. They probably won't get on with the tiny format or cluttered back. There are a lot of pros to outweigh the cons though.
Good colour reproduction
The Samsung PL120 is ultra compact, features two screens, and offers very good value for money, however, even when scoring highly for value for money, it's simply not enough to bring the overall rating higher than 3/5, as the rest of the camera is mostly average. Sure it's a nice little camera, and looks good, but the image quality disappoints.
Records HD video
The DualView PL120 is the entry level offering in Samsung's 2011 line of digital cameras which feature an extra LCD display on the front of the camera for taking self portraits. Like the next model in this release called the PL170, the front screen is 1.5" whereas the top of the line ST700 has a 1.8" front screen.
Nice build quality
The Samsung ST30 is most suited to families looking for a budget digital compact camera that is easily pocketed for security and convenience without compromising too much on quality. It's got a decent build so if one of the kids gets hold of it and drops it, there's more chance of the camera withstanding the impact. If you're looking for a budget digital compact camera that produces good pictures then this a camera worth looking at.
Good value for money
The Samsung ST30 may not be as feature packed as other cameras, or may not offer as good handling as more expensive cameras, however, the Samsung ST30 (like the Kodak Easyshare Mini) has a number of key qualities that make it appealing for these reasons: It's REALLY small, it's got a really low price, and it looks really cute.
The ST30 provides great value by bringing together an attractive design with a set of market-leading features, providing great images on the move. The ultra compact model really packs a punch, with Smart Auto focus, an internal battery charging system, a 28mm lens and 3x power optical zoom, all contained within the cameraâ?? s fun-sized body.
Resolution was disappointing
Color accuracy that rivals some DSLRs, a highly capable image stabilizer, low noise, and no less than 27 scene modes; these are the selling points of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP5. Although resolution was disappointing, the rest of this cameraâ??s numbers equal performance that is hard to believe at less than $200. Enclose all this in an attractive chassis, throw on a touchscreen, and youâ??ve got what seems like an incredible bargain.
