Compared to Epilady Discrette
The best thing about epilating is the longer I do it, the less hair grows back. I can go longer without needing to think about it. Even when I've got some long strands coming out, they are so sparse, they aren't very visible.
Speed and efficiency are what draws me to the Silk Epil 5. I'm going to switch to it and keep my Discrette as a backup.
Long-lasting results, Easy to handle
If you're willing to spend a little more money or are looking to go longer between shaves, the Braun Silk-Epil 5, which was called the Silk-Epil Xelle, is a good option, but as with all epilators (which pull out hair as opposed to shaving it), it can be painful to use, especially at first. We find plenty of complaints of pain, but users seem very satisfied and are very enthusiastic about the results they get with this product, which they say improves with time as less hair regrows.
The 340S-4 shaves close, almost as closely as the Panasonic, but is quieter, and it picks up neck stubble well. However, it's still very audible from the next room, unlike the Norelco. So far I've used it for two weeks on its first charge.
Unless you need the very quiet operation of a rotary, this razor is a fine choice.
Not up to the Braun Series reputation
The Braun 1 Series 150 replaced the no longer made Braun Series 190. The Series 150 shaver is remarkably inferior to the Series 190. The Series 150 has a narrower and slipperier body that is harder to grip than the Series 190. The trimmer and head cover are both flimsier in the Series 150 than in Series 190. The closeness of the shaves are comparable between the 150 and the 190.
The Series 190 was about as close to a perfect shaver that was ever made.
Adjustable shave settings, Sturdy, Close, comfortable shave
Like its more expensive Braun Series 7 compatriots -- the 790cc (*Est. $235) and 760cc (*Est. $200), the Braun Series 7 720s-4 foil shaver has three adjustable settings to accommodate sensitive skin or coarse beards. But, it doesn't come with a cleaning station like they do.
First shave out of box, stunning results!
The real test is the shave - and this is the best result I've ever had from shaving with an electric. On rare occasions I'll use a blade for a special occasion and a blade is usually much closer than most electrics - but I've been okay with a slight sacrifice using an electric in the past. My face right now feels so shockingly smooth, I'd swear I shaved with a blade this morning... So the proof is in the pudding - and I'd wholeheartedly recommend this shaver if you're partial to electrics.
Electric razor moves very easily within the face
With Braun 790cc you will not have to care about cleaning the razor as there is a control button by which the shaver actually cleans alone. It also dries alone when charging and also this it is one of the emphasize of the Braun 790cc.
Great inexpensive shaver
MobileShave M60B, is a definite improvement over my old PocketGo P-70. The main change, other than color and lack of the little push-out trimmer, is the newer Design Smart Foil like many of the more expensive Series shavers. The Smart Foil makes a tremendous difference compared to the older-style foil. The MobileShave gives a surprisingly good shave, but like most Braun single-foil shavers it will miss some longer hairs on your neck.
Takes a while to get used to it
Overall a great shaver, certainly better than the Philips Coolskin I owned several years back. You could save yourself a few bucks if you get the 570 over this one as the only difference seems to be the cleaning LED on the shaver. Better yet go for the 550 or 560 if you don't think you need the cleaning stand.
Close shave that is quick and easy to perform
The Braun Series 5 590cc Electric Shaver provides a really close, smooth shave and even does a great job getting at those problem areas. It has a pivoting shaving head that makes it easy to get under your chin and around your jaw line. If you are looking for an affordable shaver that provides great results, this might be the Braun shaver for you.
Powercomb lifts flat-lying hairs for closer shave
A top of the line electric razor, mid price, with excellent features that is a pleasure to use.
Triple shaving system, Two trimmers, Good for sensitive skin
This shaver is equipped with two trimmers. The first trimmer is integrated and is mainly used for short hairs. The second trimmer is sliding. Sliding trimmer is able to cope with a fairly long beard and coarse hair. Razor has a special 'Sensitive Skin' mode. When this mode is on the activity of shaving head is reduced by half. This provides maximum care for the skin. Special Cleaning and recharging 'Clean & Renew' System with one click automatically cleans, lubricates and charges you shaver.
Comfortable and solid in the hand and looks nice
The Braun Series 5 590cc is an electric shaver that comes with a unique Power Comb that lifts and cut problem hairs that lie flat to the skin to avoid missed hairs in hard-to-shave areas.
Close and smooth face on every inch of your face
You can use Braun 590cc Series 5 Men's Electric Shaver for trimming your beard, side burns and mustache since it is adjustable to fit your requirements with very little effort.
GOOD CONTOUR RESPONSE
I am not crazy about this shaver. For the price that you are paying, it really should perform better and give you a closer shave. There are so many shavers on the market that are half the price of this one and do a far better job. Sorry Braun, but you have really missed the boat with the 590CC.
