Fantastic TV for the price!
I went from a 32" Philips LCD TV to this and I have to admit the Black level of the Vizio isn't as dark (probably a byproduct of the edge-lighting). However, don't be scared of Vizio because some people have had excessive edge-lighting issues. If your unit has a lot of this issue, then exchange it within the return period.
Excellent value and the Passive 3D is really amazing
The picture quality is amazing, and that is saying a lot coming from plasma. I'm still playing with a lot of the settings and fine tuning the colors, but so far I prefer the Calibrated settings with some tweaks. I don't like the soap opera effect, so during normal TV viewing, I turn the smooth motion off.
Affordable price, Nice-looking design, Strong set of Smart TV apps, Deep black levels
The Vizio E500I-A1 is a 50-inch LED 1080p HDTV with deep black levels, a good selection of online content and a sleek design. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the image, however, especially in terms of the color vividness and the local-dimming.
Overall I am extremely happy with my choice. I don't understand the issues other reviewers have had; maybe these were earlier production units and these glitches have been resolved on later units. I don't think there is a better set out there for $479. Outstanding value and I highly recommend if you are in the market for a 40" tv.
Smart, supports a 1080p native resolution
The Vizio E551i-A2 ($829) is never going to claim the title of Home Theater King with its poor uniformity and judder-prone motion, but it deserves some serious accolades. For what you're paying, you could probably get a 50-inch dumb TV from other manufacturers. Vizio is tossing in an extra five inches of screen and easy access to Netflix, Hulu, and Facebook - more or less for free.
We think that's awesome.
Good for sports viewing, High-def
For those that are looking for a solid Full HD television that offer high quality viewing, then the Vizio E401i-A2 is probably something to consider. Serious sport fans and those that are into fast action movies will love this TV.
What I consider to be a budget friendly LCD TV
The out of the box colors, are set to factory specifications and I found them to be excellent. There was a minor tweaking with contrast to improve movie shadow detail in nighttime movie scenes. Other than that, everything is good to go, right out of the box.
Not bad, not great
All things considered, it's a good value. It seems well made. If you're looking for a knockout picture or wanting to use it in a very bright room, maybe there are better choices out there. If I weren't very tightly constrained by the space I have to fit a TV into, I probably would have returned it for a 40", of which there seem to be a lot more to choose from.
Cheap, Full HD, good resolution
For so much good spec, the Vizio E390-A1 is a great buy. If you are thinking to replace your old tv and looking for a good quality and affordable tv, then you should go for this.
Great TV! Stand and positioning is a little strange
THe only strange (not negative, just different) thing about this TV is the stand. This TV does not have a standard upright stand. The stand consists of a V shaped bar that attaches at the bottom back of the TV and the TV actually leans back about 5 degrees to stand up. For my application this is good and bad. The tilt actually helps alleviate some glare from straight on light sources.
Great TV for a Great Price
The setup with this tv is like with all Vizios is simple. This tv would make a great bedroom tv as well but I am using it in my kitchen for the kids to watch while eating breakfast and for the wife when she cooks dinner and watches her cooking shows. The only flaw like almost all other Vizios is the remote. It is just not fitted to the had and overall just looks and feels cheap otherwise buy this tv knowing that the price and function are great.
Razor LED Edge Lighting features makes the E320VT extremely slim
The E series are Vizio's entry level line of Razor LED edge lit LCD televisions. They come in a wide variety of sizes and trim levels. Although they lack some of the features of the higher end models, like internet connectivity and higher refresh rates.
Beautiful mid-size TV
I bought the Vizio E390VL at my local Costco for $369 on sale. Bought it for my bedroom, and real it's probably too big for a bedroom, but it looks great. I mounted it on the wall in the corner so that it can be directed to anywhere in the room. There is very little glare, and the brightness is great. It has a feature to auto-dim in low light, but I turned it off because it seemed to be a little too dark.
Full HDTV 1080p LCD TV, Perfect size for the bedroom
The VIZIO E390VL review is a good buy for an LCD TV that is only 39 inches but has big screen TV features. Full HDTV 1080p is one of its selling points and the clarity and the picture quality of Vizio is one of the best in the industry.
Great value for money, full 1080p HD screen
The VIZIO E390VL is the ideal choice if you are looking for an affordable for your bedroom or any secondary room where you watch TV.
Very Good Picture, And The Best Apps Around
We are very pleased with the picture and the sound. The Vizio's LED backlighting yields excellent color renditions. Skin tones look great too. The motion smoothness is at least as good as other 120 hz sets I've watched. Sports look so much better on this TV than on my 2010 47" Sharp, actually every DirectTV HD channel looks better on this TV than the Sharp.
We are especially happy with the NetFlix interface.
