What else do you wan for the price?
If you want a large screen for a cheap price, stop here. This TV might not have all of the bells and whistles that Samsung or Sony offer, but you also are not paying anywhere near those prices, either. This TV offers a great picture at a great price (at 40"), and for my money that is all that I really care about.
If your looking for a great gaming tv, look no futher
I purchased this tv about 2 weeks ago as I saw on avsforums.com that a few early adopters were really talking this tv up. I gotta say that i'm 100% satisfied with this tv. I purchased the 32" to use as an office gaming tv, as well as a monitor for my macbook pro. In both cases, it performs extremely well. First of all as a gamer, its hard to find a tv in todays times that has low input lag. While I dont have a testing device, I can tell you that this tv has very little input lag.
The LG 42LN5300 offers a stimulating price for those wanting to save money on that second or third TV or for those who want decent quality but dont want to pay up for lots of features. If you just want to watch TV on with a quality picture and not have many options this could be your set.
Gorgeous color, Sharp, clear image
While you could argue that the LN5300's 42-inch display is a bit too big for its 60Hz britches, we still think it offers serious value for the money. The TV's sharp image and vivid color output provide an enjoyable viewing experience for a seriously low price. The poor audio performance, and affinity for jitter gave us pause, and those looking for a broader feature set would do well to consider the previously mentioned Vizio E420i Smart TV.
As always, LG delivers!
LG has come through again! I already have a 42" LCD HDTV and wanted a smaller one for my "man cave". Of course I ordered from Amazon and it arrived right on time, as always is the case with Amazon. This 32" model delivers a HD picture using the entire screen. LG's are the easiest on the market to set up every single adjustment you might want to make. This one is a little newer, and has even more adjustments.
Image are brighter and more saturated than with LCD CCFL TVs
This TV is perfect for rooms that are a little tight on space. It could be a kitchen, kid's playroom, an office, or dorm room. In terms of features, there isn't much to talk about here. It is as bare bones as it gets. 720p resolution a fine for a TV of this size and the 60Hz refresh rate won't be terribly noticable. It is only 2 lbs. lighter than the 32 inch version, so you can get a feel for how close they are in size.
Don't expect plasma blacks or graphics monitor colors
The Samsung UN29F4000 is a good choice if you need a smaller TV for your bedroom, a guest room, or even sheltered poolside - it's certainly bright enough to combat some sunlight. Cable content is going to look best here, as 1080p Blu-ray discs won't have room to breathe at this resolution. The F4000 would make a decent companion for playing games off of Steam or a PS3, too, as its motion responsiveness is better than average.
For it's best designed and developed, Samsung UN19F4000 has successfully proved its performance to the customers. For a small-sized LED TV, this 19-inch LED TV has also worked beyond customers- imagination.
Bright and clear picture with bright whites and strong contrast
This is a strange little 1080p set. For regular programming, a television of this size does not really benefit from the full HD screen. It would even be hard to see the difference in a 1080p blu ray. The real usefulness of this becomes clear when a computer is hooked up to it. A 1080p monitor allows much more work space than a 720p monitor. 22 inches is a great size for a monitor as well. Think of it as a monitor with a TV tuner built in.
Good Bargain for the Price
It's perfect for the bedroom, if you don't have to attach many components. The tiny speakers are, in a word, awful, but there are two ways to attach a sound system. I purchased a very inexpensive pair of computer speakers ($20.00), and connected them via the headphone input. The difference is sound quality was dramatic. You will have to go into the menu and change the sound setting to "Headphones." There are inputs in the back if you want something more sophisticated. What can I say?
32 Emerald series
Been using for one month on average eight hours a day. I like this TV. I use it as a PC monitor sitting 5 to 10 feet away at various times and the picture is very comfortable to look at. Yes there is 444 chroma subsampling if you use the 1366 or 1360 native resolution's. I got it hooked up to HDMI to my PC with a Radeon 7700 video card. Games like Guild wars two look great especially with the program called sweet FX which makes the colors look even better.
Great TV! Stand and positioning is a little strange
THe only strange (not negative, just different) thing about this TV is the stand. This TV does not have a standard upright stand. The stand consists of a V shaped bar that attaches at the bottom back of the TV and the TV actually leans back about 5 degrees to stand up. For my application this is good and bad. The tilt actually helps alleviate some glare from straight on light sources.
