Seiki SE50UY04 is Pretty Good for 1st shipping 4K set
So far, the Seiki SE50UY04 is pretty good for being the 1st 50" 4K UHDTV shipping set in the US under $5K, as there simply are no alternatives right now (hence, the 5 stars compared to only 1080p HDTV sets).
You can run it with a moderate priced GPU like the AMD 7970 or Nvidia 680 over single HDMI cable - OR - if you have a newer home theater receiver with 4K output, certainly use it.
Cheap and cheerful, Full HD display
At around $280 on Amazon, the Sceptre X325BV-FHD LCD HDTV is exceptional value for money, delivering a full HD experience to your home. It is cheap, it has good connectivity, great image quality and best of all, at this size, it will fit in any home easily. If you were looking for a new HDTV and do not wish to spend a small fortune on one, then the Sceptre X325BV-FHD 32-Inch 60Hz 1080p LCD HDTV should be just the right acquisition for you.
Pretty good quality for a very good price
Let me start by saying that my television came promptly and in one piece, two days after ordering. I was very happy about that, and even happier that it wasn't busted up into fragments during shipping- so order with confidence.
As for the television itself, the picture is pretty amazing. Some say you can't really tell the difference between 780 and 1080 with televisions of this size, but comparing it to my roommates television of the same size, mine looks clearer and crisper.
Excellent TV for the Money
This is a great HDTV for the money. Dont get me wrong, its not up there with the Samsungs that are 3 times the price as this one. But for the money, I was overly impressed. The picture quality is stunning in full HD 1080p, and believe me, I have a skeptical eye. I own a CCTV distribution company and I used this in my showroom to display some of our Hi-Def 1080p cameras. My cameras look better on this monitor than any other that I have seen.
Good for basic DVD watching, not superb connected to a PC
For a second TV in the bedroom this will work fine - if you don't have a need to play blu-ray.
I do not recommend the product for connection to a computer system unless you're ok with not getting full 1080 for your streaming movies / games / etc.
No extra features, 720p might not be enough for some
Well, the best thing with this TV is the extreme affordability. It's (one of the) cheapest TV I've reviewed here. For the price you get a basic TV without bells and whistles. DVD player is nice addition, 720p a little limitation. If you are short on money and want a bedroom TV consider getting this.
