Big and powerful yet quite affordable HDTV
All in all, they made a good job producing the Philips 46PFL5907. It does it job nicely no matter what you use it for. It's not also the most expensive one out there. The Philips 46PFL5907 is worthy of consideration for prospective HDTV buyers!
Not perfect, but good enough for my needs
If you have this tv, make sure you play with the picture settings. Lately I have noticed that the picture quality with all of the pre-programmed options was a bit lacking. I played with the settings, and now it looks much nicer. I made several changes, but the biggest improvements came from lowering the backlight a little, increasing the reds a bit and raising the sharpness all the way.
Movies look and feel like you are watching on a good projector/screen combination
The Mitsubishi WD-92840 is without a doubt, one of the most fascinating home theater products I've experienced. In some respects, it is impractical and unforgiving in the wrong environment. It spits in the eye of the rest of the industry at a time when everyone is fighting to see who can make an HDTV as thin as a sheet of paper. It needs its own room with controlled lighting for optimum set-up.
Isnâ??t a bad pickup if you don't mind paying the extra cash for the 3D and Sony brand name.
The Sony Bravia KDL-46NX720 is a 3D LCD TV with a mid-range price and an entry-level performance. While it does have a good contrast ratio, it underperforms in a few key areas like color temperature and motion performance that should give the consumer pause if they're looking for a TV that will give them the performance you'd expect from a TV at its price.
Excellent black/white level and contrast.
You may have noticed that we've gone out of our way in this review to highlight the differences between the NX720 and its XBR counterpart. Here's why: The NX720 is such an outstanding television that we think it will be the better choice for many buyers. It's easier to set up, it's local dimming does a terrific job, it's slimmer, looks fantastic and, best of all, it's less expensive.
The look of the TV is stunning and is one you'll want to show off.
The KDL46NX720 offers many features of HX series models and is a step up from the EX series line. It has Gorilla Glass and the optional monolithic stand but is 240Hz as opposed to the HX series 480Hz. Competition comes from the Samsung UN46D7000 and the LG 47LW5600.
Provides excellent viewing angles in all directions
The Panasonic VIERA TC-L42E3 is a basic 1080p high definition TV. This is a larger version of the Panasonic VIERA TC-L37E3, with a 42 inch display. They are otherwise identical, however, both using IPS LED panel construction in the screen to provide a bright and high contrast display.
