Fantastic TV for the price!
I went from a 32" Philips LCD TV to this and I have to admit the Black level of the Vizio isn't as dark (probably a byproduct of the edge-lighting). However, don't be scared of Vizio because some people have had excessive edge-lighting issues. If your unit has a lot of this issue, then exchange it within the return period.
Overall I am extremely happy with my choice. I don't understand the issues other reviewers have had; maybe these were earlier production units and these glitches have been resolved on later units. I don't think there is a better set out there for $479. Outstanding value and I highly recommend if you are in the market for a 40" tv.
Smart, supports a 1080p native resolution
The Vizio E551i-A2 ($829) is never going to claim the title of Home Theater King with its poor uniformity and judder-prone motion, but it deserves some serious accolades. For what you're paying, you could probably get a 50-inch dumb TV from other manufacturers. Vizio is tossing in an extra five inches of screen and easy access to Netflix, Hulu, and Facebook - more or less for free.
We think that's awesome.
Good for sports viewing, High-def
For those that are looking for a solid Full HD television that offer high quality viewing, then the Vizio E401i-A2 is probably something to consider. Serious sport fans and those that are into fast action movies will love this TV.
What's not to like?
The Vizio is very easy to set up. It is, quite literally, plug and play. And within a very few minutes of filling in on-screen answers, the wi-fi was working and Netflix was playing. The remote is small, as are the keys (for my somewhat large fingers). But everything is clearly labeled, which makes it is easy to use. The learning process for the remote is short. I only had to refer to the 'Quick Start' guide once.
Easy to stream movies & series with Internet Apps
As mentioned in the beginning, it's a good HDTV with bunch of useful features. You'll watch TV, series and movies no problem with this. And if you run out of them temporarily you can get more with Internet Apps. Thus there's always something entertaining when you fire up this TV :)
I have owned three tv's (this is my second JVC)and it is a definite step ahead of any previous set I've owned. I'm very pleased with the ease of setup (3 minutes from box to TV stand)! The picture size is the factor weighing the most in my decision to purchase this product-I have issues with my eyes-and I'm not regretting buying it at all. The 3D sound wasn't for me, but I had it all customized in minutes and haven't had to tweak anything. Kudos.
Color integrity, motion performance, and viewing angle are actually above average
Right off the bat, we feel it's necessary to point out that $800 for a 47-inch LCD is pretty fair. You'd pay about the same amount for a 2012 Samsung of the same size. This TV is very basic, but if it's within your budget range, it will get the job done.
From a picture quality standpoint, this isn't the top-tier of tech, but we've seen much worse. This JVC offers the full range of colors, accurately and richly, without any bunk processing or oversharpening.
32 Emerald series
Been using for one month on average eight hours a day. I like this TV. I use it as a PC monitor sitting 5 to 10 feet away at various times and the picture is very comfortable to look at. Yes there is 444 chroma subsampling if you use the 1366 or 1360 native resolution's. I got it hooked up to HDMI to my PC with a Radeon 7700 video card. Games like Guild wars two look great especially with the program called sweet FX which makes the colors look even better.
Glad I went with the bigger TV
I was looking for a new TV for the bedroom. I was debating between this TV and the the 39" Samsung for the same price. I was leary because there was no reviews yet on this TV. I could not be happier with the purchase. The picture is awesome and the sound quality for a flat screen is great. I would definitely reccomend this to a friend or family member.
Easy set up very clear picture in HD
So easy to use and set up, crystal clear picture if you are watching anything HD. This isn't even for sale yet here on Amazon but I bought this at a local dealer yesterday and it is perfect. Apps work great. We have amazon prime and i am watching a movie as I type. We got the 50in and could not be happier.
Good overall image quality
The design of the Sony KDL-46EX645 has seen a little bit of an update compared to Sony's previous line of HDTVs. The new bezel is metallic in color and has a new finish that actually makes it look quite attractive. The stand, on the other hand, is a fairly standard black rectangular design.
Aesthetically beautiful, Well rounded features
Overall, we really like the Sony KDL46EX645. We feel it has a good combination of features for its price. It's a good choice to be the main TV in your home.
Great TV/ Great Price
This is a very nice TV at a nice pricepoint at $598. The picture quality and audio quality are both above my expectations. Barely anyone can tell the difference between 60Hz and 120 Hz, and I don't feel that paying the extra is worth any more in picture quality. Vizio is a quality company, based in California. This TV is to replace a Samsung 52 in LCD that stopped working (flickering continuously on-off) in past weeks.
The best LED-lit television at a budget price
It's a great buy. Lots of connectivity, access to smart apps (I enjoy the YouTube one, Netflix is also available and they are adding more). Definitely recommended.
Tips and Caveats
If you plan to use this as a monitor, make sure you label the source as "PC" of some kind. This removes a lot of post-processing.
The overall picture quality is pretty impressive.
The most enticing element about Samsung UN32EH5300 is the presence of various features such as for internet connections, Netflix, etc. The Wi-Fi technology included in the TV is a major plus to the HDTV as well as the fact that it has stronger and easy setup to connections. The overall picture quality is pretty impressive. The web page PIP comes along with the TV signal.
The web browser doesn't support Flash, which I initially thought Samsung does support on these TVs.
Presence of internet connections, Netflix, etc.
The Samsung UN32EH5300 is one of the budget LED TVs in the market today. The picture quality is not the same as its expensive counterparts but is quite nice for the price that you pay and for its size. This HDTV also has some useful features that may be a good selling point for the model such as the Smart Content and the built-in Wi-Fi.
This is one fine TV!
First off, I got this 60" plasma at the ridiculous bargain price of $698 from the Audio and Video Center in Santa Monica. I was initially worried about buying the cheapest model in its class -- everything else was double the price -- but this box rocks!
Beautiful deep rich colors, perfectly good -- no matter what the other guy says -- sound and easy setup. Armed with a $79 BluRay, you'll have a REALLY economical, .REALLY awesome smart TV.
