Affordable price, Nice-looking design, Strong set of Smart TV apps, Deep black levels
The Vizio E500I-A1 is a 50-inch LED 1080p HDTV with deep black levels, a good selection of online content and a sleek design. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the image, however, especially in terms of the color vividness and the local-dimming.
Overall I am extremely happy with my choice. I don't understand the issues other reviewers have had; maybe these were earlier production units and these glitches have been resolved on later units. I don't think there is a better set out there for $479. Outstanding value and I highly recommend if you are in the market for a 40" tv.
Smart, supports a 1080p native resolution
The Vizio E551i-A2 ($829) is never going to claim the title of Home Theater King with its poor uniformity and judder-prone motion, but it deserves some serious accolades. For what you're paying, you could probably get a 50-inch dumb TV from other manufacturers. Vizio is tossing in an extra five inches of screen and easy access to Netflix, Hulu, and Facebook - more or less for free.
We think that's awesome.
Good for sports viewing, High-def
For those that are looking for a solid Full HD television that offer high quality viewing, then the Vizio E401i-A2 is probably something to consider. Serious sport fans and those that are into fast action movies will love this TV.
Finally, a plasma that looks good with the lights on
This tv still looks amazing and even more so after updating the settings in Custom. We still use the THX bright room settings when it's really bright outside and the shades are all the way up (windows are now directly across from the tv). There is still glare but no worse than on other tvs and not as bad as on some. Blacks still look good even with all that light shining directly on the set. I have seen no image retention while watching tv and I do not hunt for it.
3D Performance - Excellent
The TC-P50GT50 has the Infinite Black Pro panel that is Panasonic's best for 2012, but without the Ultra filter on the VT50 series which is even better. This is a big step up from lower end plasmas from Panasonic due to the much better signal processing. Black levels are about 20% better than lesser models with the extra fine processing of the sub pixel controller which controls the sub pixels red, green, blue inside each individual pixel cell.
Rugged, waterproof and weatherproof
From where I sit, an outdoor TV must meet two essential criteria: It must stand up to the elements, both natural and not-so-natural, and it must produce bright and beautiful images on even the sunniest days. Sunbrite's 5560HD met both qualifications with ease. Furthermore, the 5560HD looks great without regard for its intended use, even at night when fine details are much easier to see.
Hanging out with this TV was terrific fun, and not just because I got to throw things at it.
Can weather up to 122 degrees F
A $1495 retail can get you a high-definition HDTV with all the bells and whistles you'd want, but leaving it outdoors - no way! The SunBriteTV Model 3260HD All-Weather Outdoor LCD Television may have a small screen size (32-inches) but what it lacks in display width, is made up in usability in the great outdoors. Say goodbye to that couch, already!
Best big-screen lcd TV value
Is an outstanding value highly accurate color and very good bright-room performance, deep black levels with great shadow detail,Out-of-the box the picture of the Magnavox 50MF412B/F7 is excellent, the quality in picture and sound exceeds any of the more expensive brands.
The main trouble with judging TV sets based on their contrast ratios is that there are no industry standards for these ratios.
For its' price the TV looks very promising. It has good image quality with some (albeit not many) extra features. It definitely has it's place in your household if you are looking for a secondary tv. Buy it for your bedroom, mount in on the wall and enjoy!
Great TV for the price!
The thing that attracted me to this tv is the fact that it has 3 HDMI inputs while most tv's in this range only offer 2. I really don't understand the thinking that goes behind selling higher end TV's with more HDMI connections. If the tv has internet connectivity built in, that is one LESS HDMI connection that is required, but if you are like me and want to add a streaming network player, you need that extra HDMI connection if you already are using the other 2 for BluRay and satellite...
Good smoothing effects from Clear Scan 240 feature
The 46L5200 is a fairly barebones model from Toshiba with 120Hz processing and a standard black framing bezel. It's a nice looking TV with similar features to the 417 model from last year. LED backlighting is edge-lit. It's an economic model with pretty good black levels and brightness for an LED/LCD.
Tiny viewing angle
The 50L5200U is an affordable, no-frills television from Toshiba thatâ??s available at a surprisingly low MSRP of $1099. We recently reviewed Toshibaâ??s flagship series for this year, the L7200U, and it proved to be a very high-quality smart TV for the comparably low price it retails for. In that regard, we were very excited to see if the mid-range L5200U series would match that same quality.
Built in Web Browser, Built in Wifi, Social Networking Feature
Value-wise the TCP65ST50 is an exceptional deal on a per square inch basis with competition from the Samsung PN64E6500 and large LED TVs from Sharp such as the 70" LC-70LE847. At $2700 the 65ST50 offers great picture quality, lots of premium features (Wifi, Web Browser, Viera Connect Apps, Active 3D) and decent aesthetics. The sound system quality was not what we thought it would be, but with a TV this large you will likely want to use a home theater surround system anyway.
Outstanding black level and contrast performance, Great brightness
If we didn't already know that the TC-P55ST50 wasn't Panasonic's top-of-the-line plasma, we'd swear that it was. Based on picture performance alone, this could just as well be Panasonic's flagship model. That it isn't comes down to a few bells and whistles and a slightly trimmer form factor. For the majority of shoppers interested in plasma, the $,1500 (roughly) TC-P55ST50 is the ticket to top-tier performance at a totally accessible price.
