Fantastic TV for the price!
I went from a 32" Philips LCD TV to this and I have to admit the Black level of the Vizio isn't as dark (probably a byproduct of the edge-lighting). However, don't be scared of Vizio because some people have had excessive edge-lighting issues. If your unit has a lot of this issue, then exchange it within the return period.
Impressive return on invested dollar
Summing up, based on picture size and quality for the price I paid, I'd have to give the Vizio two thumbs way up! The true test will be over time but for now, I have no problem in giving the Vizio 5 stars. Something else I found interesting is there was no detailed manual that came with the Vizio, only a quick setup guide which was handy. In order to get the big manual will require you to go online and download all 45 pages or some such.
Lots of options for image-tweakers
Which is better: a mammoth TV with a mediocre picture, or a smaller TV with a great picture? If you're in the camp that believes size trumps all, Vizio has just the LCD. The Vizio E601I-A3 spans a whopping 60 inches, yet sells for under a grand. Your budget wins, even though your eyes will wish you'd spent a bit more.
Excellent value and the Passive 3D is really amazing
The picture quality is amazing, and that is saying a lot coming from plasma. I'm still playing with a lot of the settings and fine tuning the colors, but so far I prefer the Calibrated settings with some tweaks. I don't like the soap opera effect, so during normal TV viewing, I turn the smooth motion off.
Seiki SE50UY04 is Pretty Good for 1st shipping 4K set
So far, the Seiki SE50UY04 is pretty good for being the 1st 50" 4K UHDTV shipping set in the US under $5K, as there simply are no alternatives right now (hence, the 5 stars compared to only 1080p HDTV sets).
You can run it with a moderate priced GPU like the AMD 7970 or Nvidia 680 over single HDMI cable - OR - if you have a newer home theater receiver with 4K output, certainly use it.
Good picture quality, Relatively slim design
A few minor quirks aside, we think this Vizio TV provides real value. The E420i-A0's solid picture quality, useable on-board audio and impressive Smart TV interface make it a product we'd be happy to have at the center of our home theater. Those looking to move into the 1080p Smart TV arena without breaking the bank will find the Vizio E420i-A0 a formidable contender.
Great TV, Takes a little setup to get a great picture, but looks amazing once it is done!
The setup was very quick and it had no issues connecting to my Wi-Fi. I had the TV up and running in about 15 minuets after its arrival at my door. Netflix is much better than it is on my xbox and loads quickly even with my slower DSL connection. I have not tried the 3D settings yet, but 2D looks great. I also have it hooked up to my surround sound and so I have no idea what the TV audio actually sounds like. I'm sure it isn't any better than any other flat screen TV.
Affordable price, Nice-looking design, Strong set of Smart TV apps, Deep black levels
The Vizio E500I-A1 is a 50-inch LED 1080p HDTV with deep black levels, a good selection of online content and a sleek design. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the image, however, especially in terms of the color vividness and the local-dimming.
Overall I am extremely happy with my choice. I don't understand the issues other reviewers have had; maybe these were earlier production units and these glitches have been resolved on later units. I don't think there is a better set out there for $479. Outstanding value and I highly recommend if you are in the market for a 40" tv.
Smart, supports a 1080p native resolution
The Vizio E551i-A2 ($829) is never going to claim the title of Home Theater King with its poor uniformity and judder-prone motion, but it deserves some serious accolades. For what you're paying, you could probably get a 50-inch dumb TV from other manufacturers. Vizio is tossing in an extra five inches of screen and easy access to Netflix, Hulu, and Facebook - more or less for free.
We think that's awesome.
Good for sports viewing, High-def
For those that are looking for a solid Full HD television that offer high quality viewing, then the Vizio E401i-A2 is probably something to consider. Serious sport fans and those that are into fast action movies will love this TV.
Sansui SLED3900 LED TV is GREAT!
This LED TV has a xtal clear picture,(especially with DVDs!), and has a zoom control built into the remote so you can view old 4:3, a little bit of black bars,or no black bars at all. Also has RCA audio out,so you can run the audio to your stereo speakers, for full home theater enjoyment.Lastly, the rear is nearly completely covered,to keep dust out of the TV,(so it will last longer)..I'm extremely happy with this TV!
Comfort of modern HDTV for low price
All in all, Sansui Accu SLED3900 is probably your choice if you are a casual user. You probably want to put it to bedroom or another secondary room. If you are into serious sports or movie viewing or gaming, consider a bigger & faster TV. Just remember those TVs also cost more. This TV is dirt cheap :)
