Solidly built, and elegantly designed
TomTom's new GO 2505TM is a luxurious feeling device. Solidly built, and elegantly designed, all controls are performed via the bright, 5-inch multi-touch glass touchscreen. You can zip through menus with a swipe of your finger, or zoom in on the map by pinching your fingers. The new magnetic "Easy Click" windshield mount is outstanding, and will have you wondering why all vehicle mounts aren't designed this way.
Innovative magnetic mount is the best found on any auto GPS
I really like the TomTom GO 2505TM hardware, a lot. The bright capacitive touch screen and innovative magnetic mount are great improvements. TomTom has redone their interface and managed to make it fairly intuitive, keeping the best features of old and bringing in the new without causing too many problems in the process. No small feat.

Garmin's nuvi 2350 LMT is a relatively budget-friendly 4.3-inch widescreen GPS that offers many of the same navigation features & technologies found on the company's more expensive devices, including nuRoute with trafficTrends and myTrends.
Screen is large and bright, easy to see in daylight
The RoadMate 2035 is a global positioning system receiver from Magellan that offers a step-down from the company's RoadMate 2036 model. Featuring a 4.3-inch color touchscreen for clear map interface viewing, this model includes free lifetime traffic updates that allow users to avoid construction and collision zones for reduced stalling time.
Excellent POI searching capabilities
When looking for a GPS, it's all about the features you want and the price you're willing to pay. If the 2035 hits a rock-bottom price, it may be worth considerating. But if it stays at about $10 less than the RoadMate 2036, which has all of the features of the 2035, but includes maps for Canada, highway lane-assist, and the AAA TourBook .

The Garmin nuvi 1xxx series performed very well during my testing. I noticed no significant lags, routing errors, etc. The few negatives I see with it are addressed above. As with the entire nuvi series, I expect that most buyers will be quite happy with this unit.
