The DHT-1513A surround sound system is better than the other options offered by the local big box stores, and cost less. I bought a new 60" Samsung led lcd tv and the sound was awful. Rear speakers on the tv were inadequate. Anyway, this Denon amp is an intro version for Denon, but pretty good. The Boston speakers are also intro level, but also good. I'm very happy with the cost/value and the overall sound. I found the best price at Amazon, and trust them.
Exceptional entry-level system to build on!
There is no better Home Theater in-a-Box (HTiB) out there. Period. In my opinion, no other system came even close and I'm a very picky shopper for big purchases like this. I shop at least 3 manufacturers, at least 3 stores, and at least 3 of any of my top products' competitors before finally pulling the trigger. When I buy anything expensive, I am not a compulsive buyer; and in my humble opinion, this is the rule, not the exception.
Newest receiver paired with the sound quality of Boston Acoustics,
The thing to really look at is the price tag. At $900, the MCS 130 does have a bit more to offer than the forthcoming MCS 160 (like a more powerful sub and front speakers with an additional woofer) but paired with the AVR-1312, it is sure to be a deal. We wouldn't be surprised to see a price tag north of $450 on the MCS 160 which makes the $600 price tag of the DHT-1312BA package very attractive.
An affordable setup
The DHT-1312XP sells at a price of Rs. 32,000 in India. While, we're not particularly blown away by its performance, we have to say this is quite an affordable setup. The amplifier especially has a lot to offer. It has got the necessary power, so you have the option to upgrade the speakers to more powerful, better ones in the future.
Unit is gorgeous, sleek
This unit is gorgeous, sleek, and doesn't block the TV when sitting in front of it. While you could get better sound with a true 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system, for the money, you get a fairly believable surround sound experience with the Denon DHT-FS3. Wife acceptance factor is off the charts and it boasts sound to match when compared to other players in this new category of loudspeakers.
Superb virtual surround sound quality
If you don't want to mess with the hassle of half a dozen speakers, then the Denon DHT-FS3 HTIB is definitely for you. Of course, it is virtually impossible to create the stunning quality that five or eight different speakers provide, but this Denon definitely comes close with just one sound bar and a subwoofer. If you are limited on space and just want something simple and easy to setup, then you should consider this virtual surround sound system.
Solid build and attractive black finish
While it's not the cheapest single speaker surround sound system on the market, it's right up there with the best, not only in terms of performance but also of design. Compact, sturdily built and attractive to look at, it delivers surprisingly effective multi-channel sound without the fuss and mess of a full 5.1 speaker setup.
Bursting with features
The AVR-4310 is unquestionably a great AV receiver, tastefully designed, bursting with features and able to spin movie soundtracks into sonic gold. The brilliance of both Audyssey DSX and Pro Logic IIz takes its performance to the next plateau and musically itâ?? s out of this world. But the problem is there isnâ?? t a great deal here that you wonâ?? t find on the much cheaper Onkyo TX-NR807, which is half the price and throws THX Select 2 certification into the bargain.
