Refined sound quality, Generous connections
The Philips HTL5120 is up against some stiff competition in the soundbar sector but stands head and shoulders above similarly-priced rivals thanks largely to its superb sound quality. It demonstrates scale, refinement and low-frequency composure beyond its price tag, making for a hugely satisfying listen. Throw in superb build quality, gorgeous looks, built-in Bluetooth and plentiful connections, and the HTL5120 cements its place as one of the best soundbars in its class.
Classy sound, Robust build quality
Spend some time in the HTL5120's company and you'll soon realise that it's one of the best soundbars in its class. It reaches levels of refinement and smoothness beyond what you'd expect from a £250 soundbar, but backs it up with power and punch when needed - all of which makes for a thrilling listen, even within the limitations of a stereo soundbar.
Great sound, great price
Amazed at the sound! Blue ray and regular DVD upgrading is awesome! The bass is really shattering. Had to turn it down a notch. Living room is 14X20, perfect sound! I need to get some extension cable to put on the rear speakers they're about 6' short. I haven't done any online, hulu, etc. stuff with it as I don't use it. I bought the 3D for future replacement of our TV, will probably go to a 3D set next time.
Sweet surround sound
These speakers are awesome for the price that you pay! It has tons of features that make it amazing for the cost. Sure the bass isn't that loud, but it isn't that bad. These speakers can go pretty loud for that movie and gaming experience that you want! I would recommend these speakers for those who just want pretty nice surround sound for a decent price. Get'em!
Excellent product at an excellent price
Everything from the price to the shipping, to the speed, has been excellent. I cut the speaker wire and installed them in my wall, so I had a custom setup pretty much, but for the BlueRay and regular DVDs, and Netflix, it works just fine. It sounded great too.
Great System for the Price
I have been very happy with this purchase. It has more than enough power. I have not had it above 35. The sound is very good, I'm no audiophile, but going from a Bose system to this I have no complaints. Within the first week the sound would not come on and I had to unplug the unit. This happened again so I connected it to the internet and upgraded the firmware. It has worked flawlessly since. I purchased a new TV at the same time and have had no problems with audio sync.
5.1-channel surround-sound and connectivity options are as close to perfect
With one exception, the Philips Blu-ray Home Theater System HTS3106/F7 is a flawless home theater setup. Picture, sound and connectivity all have the right parts and perform their assigned tasks perfectly. We would like to see more than one HDMI port in a more accessible part of the machine. Other than that, this home theater in a box system is the standard-bearer for all other systems in this category.
Works great sounds great I really like the phillips brand I upgraded from a phillips 1080p regular surround sound to this 3d blu-ray one and sounds just as good. It's a LOT of surround sound for your money if you don't want to spend $1K+ on a high quality setup but still want a very good quality system to watch movies on this is a very good one to go with, you won't be disappointed.
