Great Value great sound!
This by far has been the best value and bang for the buck. The older Samsung models did lack some sound and features. This fits my needs perfectly and delivers a solid sound for the room I need. This will be wall mounted underneath a Vizio E Series Razor 55" LED/LCD. I was able to connect my Samsung Galaxy Note II via bluetooth immediately and play music within seconds.
Solid product for the price range
This product really met our expectations. We were putting no small change into a new Samsung TV and couldn't afford to upgrade a 10 year old A/V system from the ground up at the same time. By staying with the same manufacturer as the TV, the unit interfaced flawlessly into one remote control and we're sitting here delightfully enjoying a 3D movie. You could easily spend 3 times this amount for a clean A/V unit, speakers, and a 3D Blue Ray player.
Not a great system
I was very unimpressed with this system. While it was triple the prize of my old speakers (which have now come down even more) the sound quality is far worse. The bass, in particular, suffers; with my logitecs I could shake the floor playing Led Zeppelin and with this samsung system I can hardly even hear the bass, despite doing everything possible to turn it up.
Great sound, Great picture!
The picture quality is very good, crisp, clear, smooth motion. Sound is very good as well can hear all pitches, highs, mids, and lows. Smarthub is not so great few apps work. The youtube app, only a small percentage of the videos will actually play but when you do eventually find the very few videos that will play it is pretty nice and fair enough video quality.
Good connections and features
The Samsung HW-E551 is an impressive soundbar system that gets it right on many levels. The split soundbar design is a genius touch, appealing to those who want a traditional two-speaker setup as well as people who like the idea of a single wall-mountable unit. The wireless sub, with its array of useful inputs and compact dimensions, is hugely convenient, while on the aesthetic front the silver finish makes it one of the best-looking soundbars around.
Poised, room-filling sound
Anyone seeking to upgrade from their TV speakers without committing to a full 5.1 system would do well to consider the Samsung HW-E450. It looks striking, with a slim, compact design that'll make a minimal impact on your living space. It lacks HD audio decoding, but there are some nice features like USB music playback and Bluetooth streaming to make up for it.
Stylish design, Bluetooth and wireless sub
Overall, the HW-E450 is a satisfying audio solution, offering powerful yet composed 2.1 sound quality, some funky features and a stylish, space-saving design. The lack of HD audio decoding, limited music format support and dearth of surround presence might deter some buyers, but otherwise this is a terrific way of escaping from lacklustre TV sound quality.
Sounds good for what it is
I've always been a seperate component owner. This is my first HTIAB, I was searching for wireless rear speakers, a much better option for me than just a soundbar (this is for the living room, I do have a Vizio VHT 510 real 5.1 soundbar in the bedroom, works great).
For starters, it's not a true 7.1, it's a 5.1.
Impressively feature-packed system
The Samsung HT-E6730W is an impressively feature-packed system. The Blu-ray player section offers 2D, 3D, and both internet and network streaming. The audio portion of the system is very innovative, featuring a vacuum-tube based preamp stage, as well as providing additional inputs, iPod connectivity, an FM stereo radio, and a twist on 7.1 channel speaker configuration that emphasizes front height, rather than rear back speakers.
Alot of punch in a small package
After the easy installation and setup using a microphone for speaker calibration, I was simply amazed. You hear absolutely no distortion from any of the speakers, not even at maximum volume. I have this setup in a fairly large living room and the subwoofer provides hard-hitting clean bass. The only con I have is that the shiny black finish to the system attracts dust quickly. Don't pass up this system. Menu interface is awesome.
The system works fine. It is the way you have it set-up! As the earlier poster stated.....You will need to adjust the sound using the remote. There are two buttons on bottom left-hand corner that allows you to do so. One is titled SOUND and the other is EFFECTS. I am getting 5.1 Dolby digital surround sound using a To slink (digital optical cable) connected to my cable box directly into my Blue-ray player.
