Sound is very good, but the features are what really sell it. Although the interface can be a little clunky, the ability to watch amazon video and use pandora without plugging in a computer is great. Also first thing you should do after buying this system is get the App. Not only does the app give you quick access to volume and arrow keys, it also gives you a full duplicate of the actual remote AND quick control over the audio settings like base level and equalizer.
Simple to set-up, simple to use
Given its $399 suggested retail price, the SC-BTT195 offers a whole lot of bang for the buck. It sets up quickly, providing a 3D-capable Blu-ray player and provides access to a nice selection of audio and video streaming services. While the speakers seem a little flimsy, for the price this can be overlooked, especially for anyone who loves movies but lacks the budget and space for a full-fledged component home theater system.
Very good detail, color, contrast, and black levels
The SC-BTT195 is a good option for those looking for a modestly-priced all-in-one system to enjoy Blu-ray, DVD, internet streaming, and to enhance their audio listening experience, especially for movies, in a smaller room environment. For a home theater-in-a-box system in its price class, it is worth consideration.
Excellent hi-def pictures
The Panasonic SC-BTT190 is a solid Blu-ray system but not one of Panasonic's best. Aesthetically it doesn't inspire the same levels of excitement as an LG or Samsung, its sound quality loses polish at volumes other speakers take in their stride, and the lack of HDMI inputs and built-in Wi-Fi makes the step-up SC-BTT290 a more appealing prospect.
I bought this for my mother & father for Christmas. Both are in their mid-80s and live in a town-home community with mostly other adult residents. They live in another state so I was concerned about having to maintain the system from my remote location but, so far, this has not proved to be a problem. The system was very easy to set up. It took about 2-3 hours to get it up and running.
Good Basic Home Theater System
This product is performing as advertised. I did not want to spend $1000 on a theater system for a $500 TV (which I recieved for fathers day - Panasonic 50" Plasma) The connections were very straight forward.. The "On Screen" set up went pretty well. Running Cable Television shows thru the Sony Audio made the sound better than the TVs speakers.. and When playing a DVD we were amazed at the quality of the sound coming out of those little speakers.
Outstanding picture quality
If you want a 5.1-channel, 3D-ready home cinema system that doesn't take up much space, then the SC-BTT270 could answer your prayers. The compact speakers and slimline main unit are as discreet as a doctor, plus it's bursting with features. Built-in Wi-Fi and more Internet content would be nice, and sound quality doesn't always sizzle, but on the whole this is an impressive system - particularly where picture quality is concerned.
It's a good time to be in the market for a new entry-level 3D Blu-ray HTIB. With its built-in iPod dock and an integrated Wi-Fi module, Panasonic provides a very enticing deal. However, the lack of HDMI inputs means that you'll need to have an ARC-compatible TV or be able to live with this limitation.
Built-in iPod dock
It's a good time to be in the market for a new entry-level 3D Blu-ray HTIB. There are a few sets that go below the S$1,000 barrier these days, and for one that gives you a built-in iPod dock and an integrated Wi-Fi module, Panasonic provides a very enticing deal. However, the lack of HDMI inputs means that you'll need to have an ARC-compatible TV, or be able to live with this limitation.
Decent 3D Blu-ray player
Overall, the SC-BTT270 should be considered good value. For little over £300 you get a decent 3D Blu-ray player and a loud surround sound system. But there's little doubt though that from a quality perspective the enclosures are trailing the electronics. Methinks it's time for Panasonic to start taking loudspeaker design a little more seriously.
Stunning picture quality
The SC-BTT370 is a wonderful Blu-ray home cinema system, offering a terrific range of features and a stylish external design. Its sound quality might not match the punch and poise of a decent separates system but there's still a lot to like, such as the levels of detail, cohesion and openness within the soundstage and the effective new Cinema Surround Plus mode.
Very good picture and sound
Experts say that the 5.1-channel Panasonic SC-BTT370, a home theater in a box built around a well-regarded Blu-ray player, offers a compelling blend of features as well as stellar audio and visual performance. It's also a pretty good value, most say. Image quality is excellent with Blu-ray Discs and very good with DVDs. Audio performance also draws praise, though the home theater system lacks the punch of beefier options.
