Good sound, Good value
I was hesitant to buy this after seeing mostly below average reviews. I wanted a samsung 3D player theather system to go with the 3D Samsung LCD TV we just bought. Well, we have had it for a month now and we are very happy.
Will it play music and blow your mind? No. You better keep your expensive component stereo system. The system can't deliver the low hard hitting bass.
Will it provide impressive surround sound for your movies? Definitely yes.
Speakers are very easy to setup even for novices
The Samsung HT- D5300 is a 5.1 channel surround sound audio system released as a downgrade from the HT-D6500W. It doesn't offer wireless functionality and its speakers are smaller, but it does include a 3D compatible Blu-ray player/receiver, four small satellite speakers, a central channel, and a subwoofer.
A reasonably priced Surround System
I didn't want to spend more for the audio, than for the TV.
I chose this system as a compromise, and for its value.
It works well, sounds 100% better than my Bravia LED TV speakers,
and fits my basic requirements. It is not without flaws,
such as inability to pass through CC, but that's one of
the compromises. It syncs perfectly with my TV, and so no
problems with remotes, etc. So read all the reviews, to know
what you're getting, and perhaps the BDV-T58 will work for you.
Good home theater
Recent purchase. Have had a sony home theater before and this system pretty much meets the expectations. Areas of concern are noted below:
- Length of speaker cables are less than required (especially for the center and sub woofer). I needed a longer cable since i use a projector and not a TV screen
- Yet to find a file format that can be played using the USB connect (does not seem to read any itunes/ mp3 formats)
- An additional wifi access point is required to connect to internet.
Subwoofer isn't powered, lacks power and punch
The Sony BDV-E280 is one of three 3D-compliant home theater systems (BDV-E780W, BDV-E580, and BDV-E280) released together in early 2011. All three models feature an integrated Blu-ray disc player that can handle 3D and 2D BDs, as well as DVDs, SACDs, and CDs.
Contains every feature we look for in this category
The Sony 3D Blu-ray Home Theater System BDV-E280 stands head and shoulders above many other products in our home theater in a box category. This is no small accomplishment for this system given how many great products it is up against.
An overall great buy for the price
This system plays DVDs and Blue Rays flawlessly. The sound is great and I love the WiFi capabilities - though I wish it would process a little faster. Even though the speakers are wired, I bought a wireless rear speaker sender/receiver unit to go with the system and now I'm using my rear speakers wirelessly, which is great because otherwise I would have no way of running wires to the back of my living room.
Good value for the money
First of all don't expect the LG LHB976 to blow you away with mind blowing surround sound. It's good enough for you to enjoy the sound effects of 5.1 movies and TV. But your room won't shake, rattle and roll. The passive sub-woofer can't deliver the booming effects you'll get from a powered sub. And that also limits this from being a great music system. I do really like the Integrated Wi-Fi and Smart TV aspects of this however. And the wireless rear speakers are just what I needed.
Poor Quality Home Theater
I bought this item recently from another site. This is a very poorly built system. You need to put this on max sound to hear it in a small room of 10x10. This does not have digital input - meaning you cannot watch HD channels in TV in Dolby sound. You can only enjoy 5.1 speakers only if you plan DVD in the same system. If you pay a little more, you will get much better systems that you will like. Watch out for digital audio input in your future systems.
