Great sound, Great picture!
The picture quality is very good, crisp, clear, smooth motion. Sound is very good as well can hear all pitches, highs, mids, and lows. Smarthub is not so great few apps work. The youtube app, only a small percentage of the videos will actually play but when you do eventually find the very few videos that will play it is pretty nice and fair enough video quality.
I bought this system yesterday. It has great, even sound and multiple sound fields for different situations (movies, games, sports, etc). I like that the speakers are small (the center channel speaker) disappears in front of my television. Also, there are 3 HDMI inputs for everything I need (Blu-Ray player, Computer, etc) and one output for the television. There are also inputs for analog and digital audio sources.
Easy to set up, perfect for entry-level users
The Sony HT-SS370 is a 5.1 channel surround sound system. This system can connect with upto 3 high definition devices including a Blu-Ray player and HDTV using just one HDMI cable per device. This surround sound system uses 6 speakers: a central speaker, 2 front and 2 rear speakers and a subwoofer.
Not worth it
I bought this on sale at costco like others thinking i better jump on this deal. $90 off wasn't near enough. I think I would price this system at $150.
Pros: Sound quality, Front speaker stands.
Cons: User interface is pathetic. Old, slow, confusing and needs to be written by someone who speaks English.
Brittle, small gauge speaker wires. Every wire and cord was too short for my application.
Tall speakers have weak base support, easily knocked over
The Panasonic SC-BT235 is a high-end all-in-one home theatre system with 5.1 channel surround sound. Its integrated universal iPod/iPhone dock allows for simple iPod/iPhone connectivity while its WiFi connectivity (available in conjunction with a USB WiFi dongle, not included) allows for even greater media connectivity.
Good sound quality
We got the system a week earlier than initially projected - nice gift for Christmas to replace the underwhelming sound of the Sony DAV-IS50 system. Purchase decision was based on integrated feature set, Blue-Ray DVD, iPod docking, wireless speakers, InternetTV ready with wireless LAN. The initial installation took little more than 1/2h. The lack of at least one HDMI cable in the package was just an annoyance, since we had already the needed set of cables.
Great audio quality compared to the competition
The Samsung HT-C6900W is a 5.1-channel, 1000W home theater system featuring five matched satellite speakers (front, surround, center), a wireless rear speaker, a subwoofer and a central receiver. It's a duplicate of the HT-C6600, except that it's satellite speakers are taller and tad more powerful.
I will start with what's bad and the reason why I gave it 4 stars.I have a Samsung TV and one of the reasons I bought this was so that I could sync all my devices using one remote and the Anynet feature(a Samsung AV network system to automatically control Samsung audio-video devices). This unfortunately has been a slow painful learning process, its working now but there are some unresolved issues (e.g.Anynet sometimes taking a long time to recognize devices).
Setup is very plug-and-play, nothing complicated about it
The Samsung HT-C5500 is a 5.1-channel, 1000W home theater system featuring a central receiver, a center channel speaker, four satellite speakers and a subwoofer. The receiver features an integrated single-disc player that can handle BD, DVD, and CD discs; a built-in iPod docking station; USB, HDMI, Composite, Component, and audio ports; and support for BD Profile 2.0.
Passively powered subwoofer
The Samsung HT- C6730W is one of three multi-channel home-theater systems announced at CES 2010 by Samsung. All three models feature a retro, no-grill speaker design; Samsung's recently designed Crystal Amplifier Pro technology for more accurate audio; and DLNA compliance for sharing content over a network.
Extraordinary feature list and stylish looks
If you want 7.1-channel home cinema on a budget but have no interest in 3D, then the HT-C6730W is well worth a punt. Although you can hear the budget limitations of its sound quality, it still delivers a competent performance that does justice to Blu-ray's HD audio formats, and when you marry that to the extraordinary feature list and stylish looks you have a genuine bargain on your hands.
Solid but needs a few extras
I recently purchased the Samsung HT-C6600 from Sam's Club. I really like this product. Hook-up is easy, the sound is great. The Blu-Ray player plays Blu-ray discs, regular dvd's, DIVX discs, MP4 discs, mp3 cd's and dvd's, and audio CD's. The USB front input allows the playing of mp3 files and mp4 or divx movies on thumb drives or memory cards in a usb card reader.
I have not used the LAN or wireless features.
Wireless connection is unstable, streaming often locks up
The Samsung HT-C6600 is a 5.1-channel, 1000W home theater system featuring a central receiver, a center channel speaker, four satellite speakers and a subwoofer. As an upgrade from the HT-C5500, the Samsung HT-C6600 is compatible with 3D Blu-ray discs and television programs, although a separately purchased pair of Samsung 3D Active Glasses is required.
Blu-ray home-theater-in-a-box (HTIB) systems are still a rarity—there are currently only a few models available from Panasonic, Samsung and Sony. What’s more, they’re pricey. Sony’s BDV-IS1000 lists for $1,000, keeping it just outside the realm of most mainstream consumers. But the biggest hurdle, as we found out, is simply that they don’t always work.
This surround system has horrible software and does not play properly many of the new Bluray DVDs and music CDs. The surround sound itself is pretty good, but this is of limited importance when you cannot play what you want to listen or watch. Samsung, please release a comprehensive software update soon!
General operation is fairly complicated, hard to find certain options
