Sounds good for what it is
I've always been a seperate component owner. This is my first HTIAB, I was searching for wireless rear speakers, a much better option for me than just a soundbar (this is for the living room, I do have a Vizio VHT 510 real 5.1 soundbar in the bedroom, works great).
For starters, it's not a true 7.1, it's a 5.1.
Impressively feature-packed system
The Samsung HT-E6730W is an impressively feature-packed system. The Blu-ray player section offers 2D, 3D, and both internet and network streaming. The audio portion of the system is very innovative, featuring a vacuum-tube based preamp stage, as well as providing additional inputs, iPod connectivity, an FM stereo radio, and a twist on 7.1 channel speaker configuration that emphasizes front height, rather than rear back speakers.
Alot of punch in a small package
After the easy installation and setup using a microphone for speaker calibration, I was simply amazed. You hear absolutely no distortion from any of the speakers, not even at maximum volume. I have this setup in a fairly large living room and the subwoofer provides hard-hitting clean bass. The only con I have is that the shiny black finish to the system attracts dust quickly. Don't pass up this system. Menu interface is awesome.
I Love everything about this product; sound quality, dvd/digital radio, and "sleekness". however it's gift and curse lies in the brand. Because I have a Panasonic television as well as an Panasonic home theater they both sometimes control each-other within control functions on the remote control. From me interactions I know the volume, menu, and power buttons are universal to both devices.
When I first saw the speakers, I said, I will ne returning these in the morning. They look small but they sound super clear. The bass is not the best but for the price range it beats all HTIB out there. It does not have any Hdmi in ports, and the speakers need screws or nails to mount on wall. I dont think they are brackets out there for this type. The internet is not wireless you need an adapter from samsung. If you have a small to medium room this will work great.
Big movie theater sound
This system was a big surprise for the money. It has very good quality sound and I am pleased with it in every way so far. It was also easy to set up. I ended up placing speakers on the wall with exception of the sub-woofer. Connected it to a 51" Samsung plasma screen. Picture and sound are incredible. If you don't live in the country the sound may disturb your neighbors. Very happy I bought it.
System is easily set up and has good connectivity options, hooked up to satellite reciever and xbox as well as TV. Connected to wireless network easily. Sound quality is better than average, but not spectacular. The wireless rear speakers make installation a breeze, but are somewhat weak in sound delivery. Disappointed that there is not a multiple disk changer, and the single drive is slow loading.
Very nice system for my budget
I have now had this unit running for going on a month so I thought it was time to share my thoughts and opinions. The system is well packaged and started off with good marks from the start. After you remove all the components, everything is nicely made and dosent't look like a "walmart special". Before I go any further, I did replace the large front speakers with a pair that match the rears. This setup suited my needs and look better than the large even though I sacraficed sound for looks.
