Alot of punch in a small package
After the easy installation and setup using a microphone for speaker calibration, I was simply amazed. You hear absolutely no distortion from any of the speakers, not even at maximum volume. I have this setup in a fairly large living room and the subwoofer provides hard-hitting clean bass. The only con I have is that the shiny black finish to the system attracts dust quickly. Don't pass up this system. Menu interface is awesome.
Great System for the Price
I have been very happy with this purchase. It has more than enough power. I have not had it above 35. The sound is very good, I'm no audiophile, but going from a Bose system to this I have no complaints. Within the first week the sound would not come on and I had to unplug the unit. This happened again so I connected it to the internet and upgraded the firmware. It has worked flawlessly since. I purchased a new TV at the same time and have had no problems with audio sync.
5.1-channel surround-sound and connectivity options are as close to perfect
With one exception, the Philips Blu-ray Home Theater System HTS3106/F7 is a flawless home theater setup. Picture, sound and connectivity all have the right parts and perform their assigned tasks perfectly. We would like to see more than one HDMI port in a more accessible part of the machine. Other than that, this home theater in a box system is the standard-bearer for all other systems in this category.
A Great Piece to Add to your Entertainment
I bought this as a birthday present for my husband. What caught my eye was the ability to stream Netflix, Pandora, etc. and hook up our ipods to it as well. We have Netflix though the Wii, but the picture quality is not great because the Wii doesn't have HD hook ups. Neither of us are very tech savvy, but were able to set it all up by ourselves in less than an hour, exploring the different features as we went.
Bass is loud, brings out big sound effects in movies
The Sony BDV-F7 is a special 3D Blu-ray-disc compatible, sound bar home theater system designed to deliver quality audio alongside blu-ray video content. Geared especially for users who prefer not to mess with complicated multi-channel surround-sound setups, the BDV-F7 features a 3D blu-ray player, a sound bar, and a 6-3/8" Bass Reflex subwoofer.
Works great sounds great I really like the phillips brand I upgraded from a phillips 1080p regular surround sound to this 3d blu-ray one and sounds just as good. It's a LOT of surround sound for your money if you don't want to spend $1K+ on a high quality setup but still want a very good quality system to watch movies on this is a very good one to go with, you won't be disappointed.
Stylish and beautifully crafted compact home-entertainment system
With the F80, Meridian does its Ferrari tie-in proud by producing a stylish and beautifully crafted compact home-entertainment system. Sound quality is unparalleled for such a small device and the extras like DVD playback are very welcome. The only sticking point is the astronomical price but then there's little else on the market that can offer everything the F80 does in such a small package.
Sounds much bigger than it is
The F80 is truly a marvelous example of the heights achievable through superior engineering and design. I think it's completely safe to say that this is the best sounding "clock radio" ever made, and I really can't imagine something coming along that would be significantly better. If that was all that mattered in this world, I can guarantee you I'd have one sitting on my bedstand right now.
There are five selectable sound settings that allow users to choose between 5-Beam Mode, Stereo Mode, 3-Beam Mode, Stereo+3-Beam Mode and My Beam Mode. The YSP-1100 has a wider soundstage than its predecessors, affording more optimum listening positions within a room. My Beam mode allows users to focus sound to a specific position in their room at the touch of a button to avoid disturbing others.
