Easy Install, Elegant Looks, & High Fidelity
After minimal tweaking in the Calibration Menus I got the sound just right. Mids and highs are clean and crisp, voices are clear, and the SUB is in perfect lock-step delivering deep/tight bass to Movies, Music and Games. This is an incredibly balanced combination that fills the room with accurate, high-quality sound. I honestly wasn't expecting to be this impresssed. I'm stunned by quality delivered without a dedicated A/V receiver. Incredible job, Sonos!
Fantastic design and build quality
The Sonos Playbar is a lounge-unifying device that will let you dump your remote controls and your old hi-fi in the bin. Once you've set it up, itâ ll also let you control both your TV and your audio system with your phone. For everything but the most crashing of movie soundtracks the Sonos Playbar sounds great too, with excellent clarity and an expansive soundstage.
Beautiful sound, Integrates well into Sonos system
It's not cheap, and there's a part of us that just wanted it to have three or more HDMI inputs and a remote control in the box, but while we're contractually obliged to return our review sample back to Sonos, there's nothing that says we have to do it with good grace. Want.
Throbs with Sonos quality, Massive music selection
If all you're looking for from a soundbar is great movie sound, you might want to check out the Yamaha YSP-2200, which fools you into thinking you've got a proper surround system by bouncing sound off the walls of you lounge, but if you want a simple, elegant unit that will massively improve your TV's sound and ply you with all-you-can-stream music until you're fit to burst, the Sonos Playbar really is the only logical choice.
Neat, stylish and minimalist, The full, brilliant Sonos experience
So should you by a Playbar at all? Well if what you're after is simply great movie sound there are perhaps better options, such as the Yamaha YSP-2200 which offers one of the only convincing virtual surround sound experiences available.
But if you're looking for a simple device that will massively improve the sound from your TV (as opposed to a bona fide surround sound set-up) and give you immediate access to more music than you could ever possibly hope to listen to, only the Sonos...
Simplicity, TV integration, Design
As a standalone unit, the PLAYBAR is a great bit of kit - injecting life into your TV (and source) audio, while delivering immersive musical streaming sonics. With its built-in Class-D amp and clever optical integration, it does away with the need for a dedicated AV receiver and individual speakers, making things looks neater above, below or in front of your tellybox, which could appeal to those with the 'purchase power'.
Individual sounds seemed more defined, and the surround soundfield seemed more spacious
Vizio's S4251w-B4 is one heck of a deal for someone on a budget who wants the best surround experience for the buck in a convenient package and doesn't mind the minor hassle of running wires from the subwoofer to the surround speakers. Since the S4251w-B4 soundbar can learn the volume up/down and mute commands from your TV's remote control, the system can be configured in a way that anyone can use it without giving it much thought.
Remarkable sound quality for the money
Vizio's S4251W is one of the best values in audio we've seen in some time. It delivers the sort of features and control that users have been longed after for years now, and does it with style, finesse and surprisingly good audio quality. Sure, we could have done with some longer surround speaker wire lengths, and the sub can't reach low enough that it will tickle your undercarriage, but that doesn't change how much the system brings to the table.
Easy to set up - well illustrated Quick Start Guide
When taking the features and performance of the entire system into consideration, if you are looking for a home theater audio solution for a small or medium-size room that delivers a more accurate surround experience than a typical sound bar or sound bar/subwoofer combination, but is not as difficult to set up as, or has the clutter of, a system with individual speaker enclosures for each channel, definitely give the Vizio S4251w-B4 serious consideration - it is a great value for the price.
Impressed by the midrange quality of the sound bar
VIZIO's S4251w-B4 42" 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar is a well designed component for your home theater that provides excellent value as well as sound. It also goes where few sound bars have gone before: providing true surround sound that doesn't rely on trickery to fool the ear.
Easy to install, easy to use, A winner
I highly recommend the Sony BDV-N7100W system. It's simple, but not simplistic. It works well, it has a nice array of useful features, the speakers are decent, and it's easy to set up and use. And most of all, the fact that the Blu-ray player allows you to skip to the main menu (or at least chapter skip) really lessens the usual aggravation that accompanies Blu-ray discs. This is an excellent product all around.
Stunning clarity, Precise timing and subtle detail
A fantastic all-in-one system that delivers excellent picture, sound and a variety of streaming features.
Seriously cute looking system
Sony has pulled off a minor miracle with the N7100W, combining a peerless feature count with unprecedented performance for a system of its size at a price that seems very reasonable indeed for what's on offer.
Best Theater System for the money! Better than Bose for a lot less
Wow and amazing is the best way to describe this theater system! Sound is equal to my other Bose theater system but for a lot less money. The features and Smart LG sytem are dynamic and equal to top end theater systems costing 5x as much. The unpacking and speaker assembly took about 30 minutes (read the instructions first). Setup and connectivity went smoothly with the Magic Remote. Wireless rear speakers work great. All this and a 3D Blue-ray is an incredible price!
Impressive unit for the cost
I still prefer my original system as I could pick and choose which speakers, subwoofer, receiver, blu-ray player I wanted. I don't generally buy package type deals. But for the money and what you get this is definitely worth it if you are on a budget or want something for another room without spending big bucks.
I bought this Home Theater System to go with my LG TV. What I like about it is the sound quality and the design. What I don't like is that it is a bit slow to respond. Every time I press a button on the remote, it takes two-three seconds for the system to process it. it syncs up nicely with my LG TV; I use one remote to control all the functions. Overall, It's a good product for its price.
Solid product for the price range
This product really met our expectations. We were putting no small change into a new Samsung TV and couldn't afford to upgrade a 10 year old A/V system from the ground up at the same time. By staying with the same manufacturer as the TV, the unit interfaced flawlessly into one remote control and we're sitting here delightfully enjoying a 3D movie. You could easily spend 3 times this amount for a clean A/V unit, speakers, and a 3D Blue Ray player.
Great System for the Price, Very Good Sound!
Recently got a Sharp 3D LED Smart TV and could no longer stand limiting myself to DVD. I went into my research with quite a few requirements the most important being the speakers needed to be hung using my existing threaded speaker mounts. This is the only sub $300 systems i could find that can be hung using threaded speaker mounts. Unfortunately in Sony's quest to make set up as easy as possible the speaker wires are hard wired to the speakers.
No need for subwoofer, Potent, authoritative sound
Ther Audio Pro Avanto 5.0 HTS isn't perfect. It's a little over-zealous in the bass department, but it's remarkable value and it remains an enormously entertaining performer that does a remarkable job of producing large-scale sound without a separate sub. It's detailed, dynamic and immensely powerful - just make sure your ornaments are Blu-tacked down when you turn up the volume.
