Best bang for you buck
If you do not have the space for a large surround sound system this thing is unbelievable for what it does. I am a audiophile so surround sound is not what I would consider good audio but when it come to cinema sound this unit is amazing for the money. Leo Laporte raved about the great sound that the little box produced so I had to try it. It produces great surround sound and it is perfect for small room. It certainly produces much better sound than the tv.
I agree with some one here, the directions are not that great. But we figured it out in less than 15 minutes. My step-dad has an expensive over the top sound bar and this Coby sounds just as good as his does. This sound bar is worth the money. The remote control can be a little touchy but my family has not found that to be a big deal either. Great product 7 great sound for the money compared to so of the higher priced sound bars I have seen in action.
Don't waste your money
The 5.1 speaker have built-in amplifier, so you can connect directly a TV and a DVD. But you pay what you get. The quality is below the minimum you can expect. It has 300W of noise, not really good sound. The set is all made of plastic. The box of each speaker is made of plastic. No remote. You can adjust the bass, trebble and volume level. The cable are long enough. Could be great if wasn't for the low quality sound. The sound of my JVC TV is better.
Designed to be mounted on the backs of headrests
The Coby TFDVD7751 is an ultra-portable DVD/CD/MP3 player with a dual screen system and 2 headphone jacks for sharing in a premier private listening experience. Both the primary and second unit feature a 7" widescreen TFT color display, integrated speakers, and anti-skip circuitry.
Not as in great shape as described
While still a reasonably good deal, it needed some work. The audio cables to the speakers were mostly stripped - like ripped out of the spring loaded speaker mechanism and I had to re-cut and strip nearly all the wires. It sounds very good now. The volume knob, entirely electronic, skips and doesn't register a few turns - I have resorted to using the wireless remote for essentially all functionality. No big problems, but it WAS advertised as being in really really good condition.
Speaker wires are very short and require you to splice them to replace them
