When I first saw the speakers, I said, I will ne returning these in the morning. They look small but they sound super clear. The bass is not the best but for the price range it beats all HTIB out there. It does not have any Hdmi in ports, and the speakers need screws or nails to mount on wall. I dont think they are brackets out there for this type. The internet is not wireless you need an adapter from samsung. If you have a small to medium room this will work great.
Alot of punch in a small package
After the easy installation and setup using a microphone for speaker calibration, I was simply amazed. You hear absolutely no distortion from any of the speakers, not even at maximum volume. I have this setup in a fairly large living room and the subwoofer provides hard-hitting clean bass. The only con I have is that the shiny black finish to the system attracts dust quickly. Don't pass up this system. Menu interface is awesome.
System is easily set up and has good connectivity options, hooked up to satellite reciever and xbox as well as TV. Connected to wireless network easily. Sound quality is better than average, but not spectacular. The wireless rear speakers make installation a breeze, but are somewhat weak in sound delivery. Disappointed that there is not a multiple disk changer, and the single drive is slow loading.
Good sound, Good value
I was hesitant to buy this after seeing mostly below average reviews. I wanted a samsung 3D player theather system to go with the 3D Samsung LCD TV we just bought. Well, we have had it for a month now and we are very happy.
Will it play music and blow your mind? No. You better keep your expensive component stereo system. The system can't deliver the low hard hitting bass.
Will it provide impressive surround sound for your movies? Definitely yes.
Speakers are very easy to setup even for novices
The Samsung HT- D5300 is a 5.1 channel surround sound audio system released as a downgrade from the HT-D6500W. It doesn't offer wireless functionality and its speakers are smaller, but it does include a 3D compatible Blu-ray player/receiver, four small satellite speakers, a central channel, and a subwoofer.
Great DVD player and kid friendly
This player works great. Plays DVDs, divx, mp3, etc... The Amazon description says it's wifi enabled but IT IS NOT. I was hoping to get a player that would play media off of my network, but I researched before I bought it and no other site said it had wi-fi, so I was mostly just hoping. Mysteriously, Samsung has no mention of this product on their website. Using the HDMI connection, if you turn this player on and put a disk in, my TV turns on and changes itself to the correct input.
Convenient, good bang for the buck
Bought this mostly for three reasons:
1. So I wouldn't have any compatibility problems with my Samsung TV
2. Rear wireless speakers (although not true wireless, sure beats having wires or having to running wires across the living room)
3. Tallboy front speakers. (I have my TV mounted on the wall, so having these tall speakers helps the room look proportional.
Twin tower speakers of this home theater provide an authentic cinema experience
We don't have anything to complain about when it comes to the Samsung Smart Home Theater HT-D6730W. It truly delivers what it promises in every department. Excellent video and sound combined with internet-streaming capabilities and Samsung's guidance for set up make it an almost unbeatable system almost.
Solid but needs a few extras
I recently purchased the Samsung HT-C6600 from Sam's Club. I really like this product. Hook-up is easy, the sound is great. The Blu-Ray player plays Blu-ray discs, regular dvd's, DIVX discs, MP4 discs, mp3 cd's and dvd's, and audio CD's. The USB front input allows the playing of mp3 files and mp4 or divx movies on thumb drives or memory cards in a usb card reader.
I have not used the LAN or wireless features.
Wireless connection is unstable, streaming often locks up
The Samsung HT-C6600 is a 5.1-channel, 1000W home theater system featuring a central receiver, a center channel speaker, four satellite speakers and a subwoofer. As an upgrade from the HT-C5500, the Samsung HT-C6600 is compatible with 3D Blu-ray discs and television programs, although a separately purchased pair of Samsung 3D Active Glasses is required.
With Blu-ray players steadily replacing DVD decks as the disc spinner of choice in UK homes, the lack of Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio decoding means we can't give the HW-C450 our wholehearted recommendation. An extra digital audio input wouldn't have gone amiss either. But if you're happy to settle for Dolby Digital and DTS, then the Samsung is an impressive proposition offering terrific sound quality and a discreet, stylish design. For under £200, you can't say fairer than that.
HW-C450 offers a fantastic combination of features
The HW-C450 really sets a high standard for products in its class. It just does so many things so well, that its few nits just fall by the wayside. Could it use some more oomph sonically? Sure, but then it would also be much bigger and wouldn't look nearly as sleek and sexy as it does. Its lack of HDMI pales in comparison to its good audio connectivity, wireless sub, intuitive remote, touch controls, terrific manual, and overall just "complete" feel.
Poor piece of equipment
I didn't have it long before it would shutdown with prot in the message window. Samsung advised that I send it to a repair facility in New Jersey. I figured with shipping and repair cost I would be just as we'll off to replace it. I found many examples of this same behavior on the net. I decided to take a look at the power supply board before junking it. I found a burned circuit run on the board. I thought maybe a component had shorted out causing the burnout.
Lots of features
The 5.1-channel Samsung HT-C6500 is one of the better performers, and one of the better values, among all-in-one home-theater systems. It is built around a combination Blu-ray Disc player/amplifier that's widely praised. Experts say that picture quality puts it among the best mainstream Blu-ray Disc players.
Passively powered subwoofer
The Samsung HT- C6730W is one of three multi-channel home-theater systems announced at CES 2010 by Samsung. All three models feature a retro, no-grill speaker design; Samsung's recently designed Crystal Amplifier Pro technology for more accurate audio; and DLNA compliance for sharing content over a network.
Extraordinary feature list and stylish looks
If you want 7.1-channel home cinema on a budget but have no interest in 3D, then the HT-C6730W is well worth a punt. Although you can hear the budget limitations of its sound quality, it still delivers a competent performance that does justice to Blu-ray's HD audio formats, and when you marry that to the extraordinary feature list and stylish looks you have a genuine bargain on your hands.
