Great cordless VoIP phone
3 simultaneous calls and up to 6 cordless handsets, perfect for small business or home office.
Range and call quality is amazing. All the basic features: Speakerphone, Transfer, Intercom, Message Waiting Indicator, etc.
Setup was easy, since our VoIP provider (voiSip) was able to do it remotely in about 2 minutes.
My only suggestion to Panasonic would be to allow more than 6 handsets.
Great audio quality Easy to use joystick
The Panasonic TGP500 comes with a base station, an unassuming black box that you can mount on a wall or hide in the corner of a room somewhere, and one Panasonic TPA50 cordless handset. Each base station supports up to 6 handsets, and up to 8 different lines. Each base station can also handle up to 3 simultaneous calls to the outside world, but you'll be able to intercom between handsets without taking up any of your 3 open lines.
Very good sound quality
Where the KX-UT113 succeeds is where it actually matters: voice quality. The speaker phone is nice and crisp. It renders both speech and IVR menus quite well. It's no Sennheiser, but it's leagues ahead of the execrable speaker that came with our pre-production UT136. The distortion control kept everything smooth sailing even when we blasted music through one phone line to try to overdrive the phone's speaker.
Changes made in web admin portal pushed to phone immediately
Speakerphone quality has also been noticeably improved. When we reviewed this phone with firmware version 00.0032, we found a distracting amount of white noise whenever we switched a call to speakerphone. We're no longer experiencing this problem with firmware version 01.133.
An excellent VoIP Phone
Well, this Cisco phone is one of the top model in Cisco business series desk phones, so its no brainier that should work just fine. I have done my homework before purchasing it and I am very pleased with the quality of the calls. The phone is very easy to configure since it has a WEB API to work with. Compare this with 7xxx series of Cisco phone where it is almost impossible to configure the phone without Cisco call manager, this is piece a cake to work with.
Great work phone
The form factor of these phones are both visually appealing and physically comfortable to work with on a daily basis. We are using them for a Ring Central account and the setup was a breeze - even for the non-technical people. I would make one technical recommendation to purchasers: these do not come with a power supply. If you are a medium sized or larger office (not just 1 or 2 people), then I would recommend purchasing a POE switch to power the phones instead of the $15 power brick.
Excellent audio, quality Intuitive to use
The Cisco SPA504G is a very good phone. With HD voice supported, it delivers excellent voice quality in an intuitive and well-made piece of hardware. The OnSIP team is thrilled to see another manufacturer taking steps to bring HD voice to midrange phones that won't cost customers an arm and a leg.
Quality entry level product
The Soundpoint 331, Polycom's new desktop phone, is a direct replacement for the Soundpoint 330, the brand's entry-level IP phone. The two phones are identical except that the 331 has additional memory to support future feature enhancing SIP software upgrades expected in late 2010. According to 888voipstore, the Soundpoint IP 331 is a "cost-effective solution for cubicle workers as well as call center operators who use a 'hard' phone in conjunction with a 'soft' client running on the PC".
Works nicely for me
The review that gave this phone 1 star because of the PoE issue wasn't reasonable. To be clear - the phone does not come with a power adapter. You will need to buy one separately or use a PoE (Power over Ethernet) injector or switch to power the phone. I don't mind this at all - in some locations, it's easier to power it with PoE, and I appreciate not having to pay for an extra adapter I won't use.
This is not a consumer phone.
Excellent build quality
In closing I'd like to return to an impression that I first had some years ago when I first started using IP phones. If you work for a small company, or in a home office, and live on the phone as much as I do, then life is just too short to get by with a marginal phone. You can't appreciate the difference between "good enough" and something that is truly exceptional to use without trying it for yourself. The difference in cost is not as much as you might expect.
Great personal and conference VoIP phone
I bought several of these phones for employees at my office last year. They've worked very well as office phones and even as conference phones with up to three people sitting around the phone. The sound quality is very clear.
There are a few caveats that apply to all VoIP phones. First, before you can use a VoIP phone you must configure the VoIP server, in our case Asterisk, to associate the phone's MAC address with its phone extension.
Excellent handset and speakerphone voice quality
The overall design successfully incorporates both sharp edges and rounded corners, and gives the phone a very sleek look. The Polycom 550 is probably one of the most visually appealing desk phone we've reviewed so far.
