Great Steam Iron
It's so lightweight that it's enjoyable to use and doesn't wear you out to iron a few shirts. The best thing about it is the steam. It steams so much and so well that I sail right through ironing and my laundry had never looked better.
If you're looking for an affordable, lightweight steam iron that does a great job then I think you would be pleased with this one too.
Cheap and pretty, and does a perfect job
I just moved to CA from across the ocean, so I had to order a lot of basic household stuff, all at once, so I was going for something very cheap and basic - and this steam iron went far beyond my expectations. I thought it would be quite light weight and I think lighter irons don't do such a good job, but this one is heavier than you would expect.
Better than many higher priced irons
Over the years, I have spent top dollar for irons of various brand names thinking that they would be of higher quality and perform better. I have only had this iron for a short while, but so far, this fella stands up to the top name brands that cost $100 and above.
Note: The different colors have different options - thanks to several Amazon reviewers for pointing this out - I almost ordered based on my favorite color, and would not have received the iron with the retractable cord.
This iron is awesome for such a low price. It heats up VERY fast and produces a great amount of steam. The water spray feature is very accurate and is a strong steady stream. I havent had any issues with it as far as it leaking. It presses clothes and leaves a nice crisp press that last all day without that burnt iron smell. I love this iron!
Best Little Iron Ever!
I love this Conair Travel Steam Iron!! I own a full size Rowenta at home and it doesn't work as well as this little one. I bought it because I make doll clothes and needed a small iron. I really didn't expect much from it. Was I ever surprised!!! This little iron gives a blast of steam that takes out the most stubborn wrinkles and lays a seam flat in an instant (even when sewing denim)! And even though it's little, the water in the reservoir lasts a good long time (unlike my Rowenta).
VERY Expensive, when you count the price of clothes it will ruin
This iron was included in the furnished apartment that we are staying in. For the most part, it's been acceptable, but a few times it has leaked/discharged rusty orange water that has stained multiple dress shirts. It's extremely disappointing to find out that in ironing roughly 10 shirts that it's irreparably stained two of them.
Safety Hazard - Leaks Out of the Box - Unacceptable
Nice looking, great features, stainless steel base, auto power shutoff ... great stuff except it leaks. Add water, plug it in, heat it up and press the steam button. You get one large drop of water inside the housing for each surge of steam from the iron when you press the steam button. (although the steam out of the iron is great). Set the iron up vertically after a horizontal steam pass on your shirt and it runs out of housing seams and out of the power cord penetration.
