Lots Of Video Input Connectors
Samsung's FX2490HD display is a strong choice for anyone that happens to be looking for a computer display that can also double as an HDTV display as well. It certainly is much easier than trying to tie a HDTV tuner into a PC. It provides a wide range of connectors for use with multiple video sources and also features picture-in-picture. The anti-glare coating is certainly a nice touch.
The Samsung XL2370-1 is a 23" LCD monitor that is LED backlit, at 7.9 lbs the Samsung is one of the lightest and thinnest 23" displays. The screen has a high dynamic contrast ratio (5,000,000:1) and a fast 2ms response time which is above average when compared with similar models in it's class.
The monitor displays a very natural looking image that is ideal for a variety of uses.
Samsung's 23in SyncMaster XL2370 LED monitor is one of the best looking displays on the market, and its performance is equally impressive. Excellent brightness and colour make this a great monitor for a variety of purposes.
Attractive design and the economic power use
In the end we turned off the dynamic contrast - it's not really practical to use the Samsung SyncMaster XL2370 any other way - which leaves the really attractive features of the monitor the attractive design and the economic power use. These are great, but they're not really worth the extra money - the impressive Samsung SyncMaster XL2370, for example, is $140 cheaper.
Samsung's BX2231 is one of many new LED backlit displays on the market. The 21.5-inch display does have the benefit of featuring anti-glare coatings and a very thin profile. Color accuracy was a bit off straight out of the box but then this consumer level display is not one that many graphics professionals would be looking at. Overall, the display is a nice consumer level display that balances price, size and features for those looking at a relatively compact but full HD compatible monitor.
We found the 2333SW to have excellent display characteristics, whether it was in the more rigid DisplayMate tests, or simply by running games, video and photography past it. However, our only caveat is that it's well worth toning the brightness down just a touch. We found that at full brightness there was a slight tendency for washed out images and a bit of backlight leaking through on the edges of the monitor.
excellent display characteristics
This monitor looks great and performs very well. After the initial set up, getting the monitor installed on the base (unless you are going to hang it), it sits very sturdily on the desk. The black color is sleek and the design is sophisticated. The monitor is easy to set up and the picture resolution is perfect for full HD viewing. A great value for a monitor made by a company with a good reputation.
excellent image quality
Green doesn’t have to mean garbage. While eco-friendly cars, cat litter and cleaners all leave us yearning for the Earth-devastating originals, monitors actually seem to get better as they get greener. Exhibit A: Samsung’s BX2450. The 24-inch, LED-backlit display offers similar performance to its CCFL-lit competitors, but gets thinner, lighter, and consumes only 27 watts instead of 48 watts, for an impressive electric reduction of 43 percent, while keeping image quality a priority.
Good software support
Samsungâ??s BX2350 is an intriguing panel that does make sacrifices for its aesthetic merits, but justifies these with impressive performance and good software support. As well as being a decent all-rounder we were impressed by its abilities for video and gaming use and though it takes a while to get used to the settings and on-screen controls, still seems to justify the relatively high price.
Slim and attractive design
Samsung's BX2350 is a superbly stylish display with impressive performance and a wide range of ways to adjust settings for different environments. Though it's a little more expensive than some similar rivals, it will appeal to those who require solid performance in office applications as well as high-definition video. Its poor tilt adjustment and non-existent height adjustment, however, may dissuade many business users.
its maximum brightness was more than sufficient in a bright office on a sunny day.
The bottom line: The Samsung T220 might be the most stylish LCD monitor we've seen, but average feature set and performance diminish its overall appeal. Despite its flashy looks, it's best used as a simple, productivity display.
