An Exceptional Monitor
I had my doubts about this monitor; but for the price and considering all of it's features(and I REALLY like the controls being at the base), I'm quite fond of it.
The picture quality is astounding, I was worried as a gamer that I may notice ghosting(something I tend to pick up on very easily); but there are no such issues. No dead pixels, extremely easy to pull out of the box, put together and hook up.
Excellent image quality
The budget end of the monitor market is suddenly rife with quality 23- to 24-inch 1080p screens with cheap IPS panels in them. You've got to love the fact that you can pick up a full HD screen running one of the best monitor technologies out there for just over a ton. It certainly makes a huge difference compared to the weak, washed-out 24-inch TN panels we were once grateful to pick up for around £200.
Practical stand, connections and hardware features
On the whole, LG has done an excellent job with the 27" Flatron 27EA83 "ColorPrime" monitor. It's stylish, practical and ensures first-rate colour fidelity. It missed out on a five-star review for its relatively low contrast and a response time that's not fast enough for gamers.
A number of ways to connect to graphics card
I bought two of these monitors to run with a Mac Book Pro 15. The product details do not mention it, but they came with all the cables one could require to hook these up.
I used the Mini Display Port -> Display Port cables to the Thunderbot ports on my Mac.
The USB port on my Mac I connected to the closest monitor, and then connected the USB feed for the second monitor to the first. I ordered an Apple wired USB keyboard at the same time and connected that to one of the monitors.
Games are incredibly immersive
We really like the U2913WM, and we wish that the U2713HM had followed the same design. Sadly, it looks like the upcoming U2413 and U2713H are following with the old look.
What's rather spectacular about the U2913WM, though, is the price â?? at AU$599, it's enough that people will be asking if they want a 27-inch with the extra 360 vertical pixels, or if 21:9 is in their future.
Loaded with features, Energy efficient
For businesses seeking a full featured monitor that is budget-friendly and inexpensive to operate, the Viewsonic VG2437mc-LED is a good bet. It offers good colour and greyscale performance and lots of features, including an ergonomic stand and a built-in webcam. Its motion handling prowess makes it ideal for after-hours use as well.
Very impressed with this monitor. While it is not perfect, it is pretty good. It's not going to be as nice as a 240Hz, LED TV but I'm not really using it for a TV. I have watched a couple of movies from Netflix and they were okay. I'm not sure if Netflix streams in HD or not. What I really liked was that this monitor came with just about one of every kind of connection cords you can think of. No need to get an HDMI or anything else like when you buy a 2000 dollar plus TV.
