I am now on my second model of this brand of player. It's great to use, but by no means is it durable. My first one lasted roughly a month before the play/pause button broke, and the second one had the same problem a few days ago after a little over six months of use. Shame, because when it's working, this really is a fine player.
The video is fine. AVI works perfectly, MPG video is sometimes a little laggy and don't bother with mp4. The microSD slot (with an 8GB limit) is fantastic.
Died within 12 days
I bought this mp3 player locally, on sale, based on the high reviews by others here on Amazon.com. The Trio T2810C is loaded with features, so I was really excited about the purchase. However, the touchscreen never worked very good for me. I was tap, tap, tapping away trying to get the thing to finally respond. So that was disappointing. I tried all the features and they worked more or less as promised.
Very difficult to use, Much better choices for less money
I just pruchased the Trio T 2800 and am very disapointed.
My prevoius MP3 player was old technolgy (Sansa e250), but it was much better than newer devices.
The Sansa e250 is easy to use, durable and has a very long battery life. I don't know how long you can go on a charge, because I never ran it down.
This Trio T2800 feels flimsy. Other users have reported the display/control interface fractured easily. I believe it!
A nice video player
I bought this for my wife and 16 month old son who were taking an 8 hour flight. I filled the player with hours of Sesame Street and Thomas the Train videos for my son and even put a few movies on there for my wife. My wife said it was a real life saver. The view angles on the screen aren't that great and the manual could use some improvement. To start the unit you need to slide the on/off switch to on and then hold the play button down for several seconds.
