Good for the Price, but Would NOT Recomend
As for the player itself, the button clicks are loud and the sound quality is remarkably bad, unless (at least for me) you don't plug the headphones in all the way. In addition, the songs play in the order that they are in on the card and there is no way to switch it into a shuffle mode.
Pretty good, for about 3 months
This mp4 is pretty good for about the first 3 months. had no problems at all with it.
then about one week ago i decided to try putting an episode of a show onto it after converting of course.
after it transferred i tried to view it and the device froze completely. i LITERALLY had to wait for the battery to die and i happened to be fully charged at the time. so that was 4 hours waiting for it to die then waiting for it to recharge.
Can't operate it
I recently bought the MP823 to replace my Sansa that I had had for a few years. All I was looking for is something that would pay a few songs while I exercise, and also had a radio. The radio works great. And the unit will play any ONE MP3. The problem is it that the instruction manual and the controls are both poor. I can't figure out how to play a playlist or all the songs by a single artist. I can select any song to play but the following song will be random.
Died within 12 days
I bought this mp3 player locally, on sale, based on the high reviews by others here on Amazon.com. The Trio T2810C is loaded with features, so I was really excited about the purchase. However, the touchscreen never worked very good for me. I was tap, tap, tapping away trying to get the thing to finally respond. So that was disappointing. I tried all the features and they worked more or less as promised.
Cheap but clunky
Nice little mp3 player - what can you expect for $25? The reason I am giving it two out of five stars is its poor design. Adjusting the volume (single most important function) cannot be done with the buttons on top of the player but you have to bring up a menu sweeping the surface. Also there is no 'hold' button, while fumbling around to clip it on your clothes it is all too easy to accidentally scroll to the next track. Designed by someone who does not use it on a daily basis.
Weak touchscreen, feels really cheap... but then again it was.
Music plays fine, havnt had any lag or quality problems. Built in speaker works well, nothing special but about standard built-in speaker quality. Camera is better than I thought it would be. Overall its a decent product, works well for music and video, navigation does not flow as well as i would like but is still pretty intuitive. Good price for a touchscreen with a camera, but only get it if you dont mind the lack of quality.
One word, cheap
The sound quality isn't great. But, she didn't notice or care. The picture wasn't great, but again she was happy enough to play around with it.
However, after a few weeks the battery wouldn't fully charge and she was constantly bringing it back to me to charge. Manageable.
Then the screen stopped. There was sound, but that was it. She was alright with just music.
Of course, then the inevitable. About 3 months later, nothing.
Even for the price, three months just isn't good enough.
Does not play WMA files
I just purchased this player and tried to load it with a WMA file. I got an error message stating that it does not support this type of file from the program I was using for transfer. Then I tried transferred a WMA file directly to the player and got an ERROR on the player. It really will NOT play WMA as advertised. I wrote to the company and was told there was no such model number - so I sent them a picture. I will update this review if they respond.
A paper weight is more functional
For Christmas the kids got one of these each from a family friend. It turns on, screen navigates and I can change options. FM radio works, voice recording/playback of it works. I cannot put MP3s on it however. This blasted thing will not recognize any file format I use (mp3 and wav) as music.
First thing I did was link it to the computer via USB. Ok, I see the root directory and no subfolders. I create one titled MP3 and load up music.
