Matte and bright display, Full HD with high contrast ratio
The GS70 Stealth is an attractive and powerful device for gaming enthusiasts who want to use the 17.3-inch notebook on the road. The build quality is good, the design is appealing and the weight is not much higher than a standard multimedia notebook. All of this is combined with a high-contrast and bright display that is well suited for gaming and movie playback.
Powerful gaming laptop surprisingly thin and light
The MSI GS70 Stealth combines style and substance to stunning effect, with huge power levels inside a chassis that's slimmer and smarter than any other gaming laptop. The 17in screen still means this laptop isn't exactly portable, though, and the high price puts it out of reach for most gamers. If you can afford £1679 and like your laptops to make a statement as well as play any game around, the MSI excels in every important department.
Haswell processor, powerful Nvidia graphics, bright, high-quality screen
The MSI GS70 is a fantastic marriage of style and substance: plenty of power and a great screen crammed inside a chassis that's thinner, lighter and better-looking than most of its rivals.
Heavy, staid machines such as the Schenker XMG P703 are better for pure power, but if you want a machine that's powerful and portable - and you can afford the £1,679 price tag - the MSI GS70 is a contender.
Lightweight for a 17-incher, Very slim lines
MSI has delivered outstanding bang for buck in the GS70. Not only does it include a huge 17-inch monitor at 15-inch pricing, but it does so in a package that weighs much less than many smaller gaming laptops. Obviously, MSI has borrowed some TARDIS technology to get the GS70 into such a svelte package.
Great portable gaming/productivity notebook
The MSI GE40 is a great notebook that fills my needs well. The balance of portability and performance allows me to finish my work quickly to get a little bit of play in. If you can cram your programs and games onto a 128GB SSD, you'll find more value in the upgraded version of the GE40. Otherwise both notebooks can stand to have an additional 8GB of memory and a clean install of Windows to maximize its performance and your enjoyment.
Matte, high-end Full HD screen
MSI lures potential customers with numerous interesting features. While it is now good form to install a high quality Full HD screen, a quality sound system is still a rarity. The collaboration with Dynaudio was definitely worthwhile: Few machines offer comparable quality.
The two mSATA SSDs are another selling point. The RAID0 array strikes with an excellent transfer rate: A mainstream model can only dream of 800 MB/s (sequential read). Generally, MSI puts value on the performance.
Excellent performance, Great screen
The M17x is an example of brazen flashiness done right, the GT70 is a perfect illustration of it gone awry. But if you can forgive the design disaster, or you're not as deterred as we are, the MSI GT70 does offer a wealth of high-end tech and a superb HD and gaming experience for a price-tag that is on par with its main rivals.
Superior performance, including gaming
The MSI GT70 is a 17-inch gaming notebook that aims to have the speediest of performance available. While keeping the price at a reasonable level, this notebook has a functional keyboard, several USB 3.0 ports, a Blu-ray burner and very good graphics performance. It was hard to find much to complain about with this gamer-focused machine.
Great speakers, Excellent keyboard and touchpad
I'm torn. The MSI GT70 is a fair deal, offering strong performance (for a gaming laptop) without much in the way of caveats. The keyboard is excellent, the speakers pump out loud, solid audio, and the trackpad is precise and responsive. It certainly isn't as chic as the Razer Blade, but you'll ultimately get better performance (thanks to Ivy Bridge and a newer GPU) without spending too much. And therein lies the rub.
Well workmanship, up-to-date interface
All things considered, MSI offers a solid gaming notebook with many features and only a few weaknesses at a reasonable price of 1400 Euro ($1750 USD). Users searching for performance in a compact package and are able to get used to the GT60â??s somewhat unique design may want to add the MSI GT60-i789W7H to their short list.
A screaming monster inside a 15.6 inch setting
Overall, again with specs vs price, this laptop is currently the one with the best value out there across all 15"s. I heard they will release models of this and its bigger brother the GT70, with GTX675Ms and GTX680Ms soon, but that's a different story.
A very happy owner right here!
Matt screen with good contrast and brightness
Will the MSI GE60-i789W7H be able to attract its target audience? Gamers will likely be satisfied with the listed strengths and special features and will appreciate the keyboard's full sized arrow keys. The Asus N56VZ offers better all-around qualities than the MSI GE60 but lacks the ability for customization that is present in the Deviltech Fire DTX and Schenker XMG A502. Ultimately, we feel the MSI GE60 will be suitable for its target audience despite the competition.
High Resolution Display With Anti-Glare Coating
The MSI GE60 laptop is designed as a more affordable and portable 15-inch gaming laptop and it does very well with this task. Its dimension are much more inline with a typical 15-inch laptop than gaming specific ones which does make it portable even though it features a large power brick. Performance is good both for gaming and general performance thanks to the quad core processor and NVIDIA graphics. The best feature is the display with its anti-glare coating.
Phenomenal laptop in every dimension
The value, GPU, build quality, keyboard and the speakers are all truly phenomenal for any notebook under 2 grand. My gripes are minor and something I can live with, for every one thing I hate, there are 5 things I like, this is how a notebook should be made, great job MSI!
Great 1080p Screen
The MSI GT683R-242US is a high performance 15.6-inch gaming laptop with a street price of $1,470. For under $1,500 you get a full 1080p display, excellent NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 1.5GB GDDR5 graphics card, and 12GB of memory. The MSI GT683R-242US performs very well in the latest DirectX 11 games, and you can max out settings in many titles. Unfortunately, the GT683R does not have a full backlit keyboard, although the W, A, S, D gaming keys are illuminated.
