Exactly what I expected...after some patience
Overall, I'm glad I purchased this device. Anything intensive I can do on my desktop, though this little guy seems to be pretty capable. Obviously this won't replace your main computer unless you really only use it for web browsing, watching videos, and creating/editing documents (Comes with Office Home and Student for free..or at least bundled into the great price.) But it is great for what I do with a tablet and a little more.
In conclusion, I am very impressed with this quiet, lightweight, hard working, crystal clear machine! After a bit more tweaking and learning more about the OS and the apps, I am sure it will be even better! Will try to provide an update after some longer term use but for now, we are definitely in the honeymoon phase!
Very quiet, Wide opening angle
In our testing, we observed no significant performance differences between our sample Acer Aspire One 725 and the Acer Aspire One 722 C62kk. In fact, the newer Aspire One 725 is merely a new variant with minor differences. Those buying this new model will once again receive a glossy HD display which will limit its viability in outdoor use. The display brightness could have been a bit higher as well.
Do not buy this computer
I did NOT buy this computer off amazon. I bought it at my local computer store but I decided the only way I could help someone else not make this mistake of a computer purchase is to put a review on Amazon. After only having owned this computer a year I suddenly could not get it to even turn on. I took it back to the store where I purchased it and they knew exactly what the problem was as they had fixed 6 computers just like mine.
Very Affordable, USB 3.0 Port, Keyboard With Numeric Keypad
For consumers looking at a very low cost laptop for basic computing needs, the Toshiba Satellite C855 is surprisingly affordable at a good deal less than $400. It may not have as high of performance or as much storage as some of the competition, but it makes up for this by having some good battery life along with a USB 3.0 port for better high speed external storage expansion.
Generous RAM, Decent battery life
The Toshiba Satellite C855 is a solid-but-uninspiring laptop. Its design is inoffensive but unlikely to excite and build quality is a little patchy. What turns us off the most, though, is the mediocre keyboard. The C855 has enough power for most casual tasks, but it's not the best if you're going to be doing a lot of typing.
Well worth it!
I purchased this laptop from BestBuy for 250$ on Black Friday. I did my research before i bought a new PC, I've upgraded 1 laptops and built 2 desktops. My old laptop is just outdated. Not saying i know everything about PC's but i know enough to get in trouble. This is a laptop people. One that is meant for web surfing and mobility. Its less then 400$ brand new and that's not even a bad price. Factory with 4G RAM and a 2.4GHz proc. not bad for a cheap laptop.
This HP laptop in Winter Blue, presents as a very expensive model. It is an impressive, attractive, affordable laptop for entertainment. Having spent $1200 on my previous laptop, which crashed the weekend before Black Friday, I decided to look for value. I was able to pick up this one for under $300. WOW I can buy 4 new computers for the price of my now dinosaur. With an 8GB memory stack this HP will surpass the features of my previous expensive laptop.
Gets the job done
The computer is fast, durable, and has a good sized screen. Perfect for her, as she mainly uses it for e-mail, movies, homework, and Pinterest. One thing to note is that the touchpad has quite a texture to it. Its a little awkward and doesn't have perfect touch response, and I foresee the pits collecting grime after a while. Overall, a great computer for the price!
Truly not bad
This is a convenient little laptop. The 320GB of space is fine for me. However, 1GB of RAM just barely makes the cut these days.
Naturally, I'm on the internet with three tabs open, and playing music on iTunes. Other times I'm running sophisticated music software, exporting large files, and jumping back and forth between necessary programs.
Great for the price
For $280, this is a great netbook. It won't replace your home machine, but it's small, light, and the battery really does last for six to eight hours. Using a 4GB memory card for ReadyBoost makes it fast enough to be useable for Office and internet, while the machine is already capable enough to stream video.
Great build quality, Good battery life, Well-priced
The Acer Aspire One D270 is a true upgrade in terms of not just hardware, but also performance and battery life. In addition to easily handling normal tasks, the ability to play 1080p videos flawlessly, earns it extra brownie points. The 10.1" screen is good enough, and it is even possible to hook it up with a larger display that will go easy on your eyes. It comes with Windows 7 Starter and MS Office 2010 Starter, so you don't have to invest extra funds for these essential software.
