Good phone system for a small business, with a couple of quirks
The system performs a variety of functions that are helpful for a small business. Each phone has its individual mailbox. You can have a receptionist answer, or when he or she is not there, you can switch to the "auto attendant" that will direct callers to a company directory and they can select the employee they want to speak with or leave a voice mail.
Excellent phones at a remarkable price
There are a lot of other features that we do not use, like the Voice Caller ID that announces who is calling (we don't need the extra noise!) but they worked fine (until I turned this off). So I have to say that this is a great phone system overall. Light weight, easy to use, easy to read - just excellent!
A Home Phone That I Actually Wanted!
I can make a call using my cellphone line, and make a call using the landline as well at the same time. So you won't be disrupted if someone clicks in.
The speaker quality and phone reception were fine, in my wi-fi/wireless surround sound/million wireless devices condo.
Great cordless phone, bluetooth sync easy, connects w/outlook contacts
All in all a great phone. It's also made of metal -- which feels very sturdy. It's great looking and set up was a breeze. Great ringtones. Easy sync with bluetooth and Outlook -- all pluses in my book. I would have given it 5 stars, if not for having the USB plug hidden under a removable back cover, having to read the manual, and also having to download new software. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this phone.
The BEST office phones
I am a doctor and have a very busy office. Our phones get a real workout. I have owned the TMC E 4000 phones for many years. I will never own anything else. The are built like a tank and perfectly reliable [not a SINGLE problem].
When I needed to upgrade a phone to include a 2 line answering capability, the choice was a "no brainer" and I ordered the EV4500.
As usual, the perfect phone.
Works great for us
We have 4 lines and it was great to not need an expensive exchange. The phones have worked great. Minor issues: Even with batteries they need to be reprogrammed after power outages. Not too much of a problem since most are on UPS. I have a spare phone, when one has the very occasional (think annual) glitch I usually just swap out the extra. They seem to heal by sitting in my cabinet for a few months (mostly kidding). I just recently had the first actual failure.
