Excellent speed, Crisp output, Duplex printing, A variety of connectivity options
Other than the Eco mode, which Samsung claims can save up to 20 percent in paper and toner costs, there isn't anything all that special about the M2825DW. But that's OK. Just because it doesn't play music or make snow cones, doesn't make it a bad printer. If you want lots of bells and whistles, you should look at multifunction printers.
Excellent printer with support for mobile devices!
Overall, I am very happy with this unit and look forward to replacing my old workhorse that while it served me well kept me tethered to my PC or my router. I love the fact that I could completely set up the unit without ever having to be near any computer. Though it would have been nice to have duplex printing support, the ability to print from any mobile device (Android, iOS, and Windows) in my household makes this printer a clear winner.
Ease of use, Print quality
Two things stood out about the Samsung CLX-4195fw during testing: ease of use and print quality. Samsung isn't lying when they deemed their software as "Easy". Every program I used on my PC was well laid out; I loved the simplicity of the Easy Document Creator and the additions of the SNS Upload and E-Book Conversion.
Print quality was great with vivid color and better accuracy thanks to Samsung's Rendering Engine for Clean Page technology (or at least that's what they call it).
A Full-featured, Fast Small Business Printer
The CLX-4195FW incorporates a plethora of useful and well-implemented capabilities, and is an excellent MFP by itself. And though Samsung is a newer to building printers than many other brands out there, the company has made impressive inroads into meeting the needs of small businesses.
The only improvement we'd like to see concerns the resistive touch screen.
Prints in both color and black and white
While it won't print as quickly as a dedicated black-and-white laser printer, the Samsung CLX-4195FW has plenty of features to land it a top spot on our lineup.
Great printer, expensive toner
This printer replaced a xerox color laser we had that was at its end of life. This printer is around 1/3 the size, but prints at the same quality and speed. Its great for printing reports in our office as we use colors to determine different items. We still use our black and white lasers for 90% of printing but for those times you need color you cannot beat the price on this.
Slow print performance
Though the Samsung Printer XPress C410W's NFC printing is a neat trick, it's compelling only in a world where NFC is everywhere. It's not. Of its other qualities, the look of the XPress C410W's output is its best suit and may compensate for the unit's mundane speed. We'd like this printer a lot better with more reasonable supply costs, thoughâ??at least a half-star better.
Good print quality
The Samsung Xpress C410W's NFC capabilities - a first for this type of machine - greatly simplify the printing process, as you don't need any apps or drivers. But with Samsung Mobile Print you could already print and scan remotely from your phone or tablet. However, here the lack of duplex and the high cost per page may deter some buyers.
NFC printing, Excellent connectivity including Wi-Fi
To be fair, Samsung doesn't position the C410W as a consumer printer - it's really meant to be used in a small business or small workgroup environment. If it wasn't for the extremely expensive supply costs, we'd recommend the C410W for a high school or college student - the print quality can produce very good documents containing text and graphics, and the Eco mode does save a bit of toner when you're printing draft copies.
Good quality black print, Useful eco-driver options
The SCX-3405W is a good, versatile, mono laser all-in-one, where Samsung has obviously worked hard to provide an enhanced set of eco-facilities in what is still a very low cost machine. The provision of wireless connection and direct print from phones and tablets is also unusual in a budget laser device, though more and more manufacturers are looking at providing these.
WPS connectivity, scan, ID Copy
While I would tend to go for a colour unit when combining a printer with a scanner, I can see the Samsung SCX-3405W performing a useful function in a small office or home environment. Currently this model is being advertised on the Samsung website with a price set at £149.95. A replacement toner cartridge will set you back in the region of £42.40 but this does give you up to 1500-sheet capacity.
MobilePrint app prints directly off mobile devices
This model is suitable for consumers looking for a basic, compact, multifunction mono laser printer. An eco-friendly device, it offers a mode for saving paper and toner. The Wi-Fi function makes the SCX-3405W easy to share within a team of colleagues and enables it to print via mobile devices.
Great printer so far and great value
So far, I've used the printer wirelessly and through a wired connection. I've only used the main paper tray and have so far not experienced any jams. Duplexing works well and print quality is what you would expect from a laser. It isn't particularly noisy and has eco settings to turn itself off when no in use. There is an eco toner mode as well, which can be engaged through a panel button or through the web-based administration interface.
Great copies first time out of the box!
Over the years I have had many different copiers which claimed they would be great. Well, this is a great copier, scanner, fax machine combination. Set up instructions were very poor and would have been better if the easy set up instructions were printed out with directions rather than just pictures.
That being said, the rest of the set up once you took away all the tape, foam, and other packaging materials was easy.
Easy Set Up
I did a lot of research comparing specs and cost-per-page before deciding on this printer. My short list included Brother, Lexmark, and this printer and I am happy with my decision. Features including 512MB RAM standard made this the best value in the $600-$700 price range. You can control the fax and scan from your computer and the printer has automatic duplexing, an automatic document feeder, and scanning or printing up to legal size.
