Able to handle fair amount of ambient light
The InFocus IN2114 XGA projector is a native 4:3 aspect ratio business projector. It is virtually indentical to the InFocus IN2116 except for the fact that IN2116 has an aspect ration of 16:10 with a native resolution of 1280x800. Because the two are exactly alike except for their resolutions.
excellent entry level home theater projector
The Mitsubishi HC3800 already looks great to me, and that's with working with an engineering sample. I have to believe that the full production units will be at least a little better in several areas. Update: The new full production HC3800 calibrated even better than the sample, and produces a slightly superior image with color accuracy and skin tones being a touch better than the original sample, and that was already very good. -art
Great blacks and natural colours.
The HD image quality of this Mitsubishi and its longer lamp life are the keys to this projector's appeal. Shopping around will secure one for around AU$2500 or slightly less, making this an excellent value 1080p projector. It's not the most table-top-friendly plus there's only that one HDMI input, but if you can forgive these shortcomings the HC3800 is an excellent choice among the current affordable 1080p crop
Mitsubishi has a winner here, as the HC3800 is an overall excellent performer. Here's yet one more example that proves good engineering needn't cost a fortune, as the color accuracy of the Mitsubishi is on par with projectors that cost much, much more. By providing both types of anamorphic scaling modes, big screen fans can put together a 2.40:1 widescreen setup with their choice of fixed or movable anamorphic lens options.
most desirable digital projectors
The Mitsubishi HC6800 is a solid, well-constructed projector being offered at a fair price. From what we've seen in the marketplace thus far, it certainly holds its own in picture quality but does not in any special way uniquely outperform the competition. But this can and will be said about many of the new models being released this fall.
